Default how do I test a home made stun gun not on myself?

So I built this stun gun from this website, it is the top one made with the 555 timer http://stungunreviews.tripod.com/stu...chematics.html I have it all set up on a breadboard and I have double checked every connection but I have no way to test it. My multimeter doesn't read it probably because it is too high of a voltage or the discharge is too quick for it to read. So does anyone know a pain free way to test this?

Find a willing "volunteer" (or a datalogging multimeter)

Fuck than man find some random person and be like, "Hey dude this thing feels cool check it out."

Or for even better potential, find a hot chick.

small animals are probably your best bet.

if you shot something like bread, would it burn/cook bits of the bread?

Real stun guns don't work very well, don't depend on some homemade one to be effective whatsoever.
