Gas prices going down?
Have they been going down everywhere? What are gas prices like where you are? In San Antonio, they range from $3.21 (the cheapest I've seen so far) to $3.45. $3.41 is the most commonly seen price around town.

Re: Gas prices going down?
Out in Cali I am still paying almost $4 a gallon. I hope that the greed of OPEC will push the world in the right direction for cleaner technologies.

Re: Gas prices going down?
The highest they got was around $2.18. They have now fallen back down to $1.89. It's really good too see it heading that direction. High gas prices were what we needed though. A lot of good is/has become because of them.
Oh sorry, $NZD and those a per liter prices.

Re: Gas prices going down?
Had peaked at a little over $4 in September...now I'm seeing shit like $3.29. Price of oil has come down because of this "economic crisis." And for some reason, high gas prices seem to be related to summer and the travel it brings. So I bet they'll keep going down and level off at $2.something for the winter.

You guys are getting absolutely ripped on your gas.
I thought they measured your usage in cubic metres or something too.

$3.29 is $3.29 per American gallon. Or English gallon, whatever the hell it's called. Not the other one, imperial.

Re: Gas prices going down?
3.21 per American Gallon here in rural Virginia.
It's been steadily decreasing the past week or so.
Also, I've figure out that gas prices don't matter unless you're buying more than $10 worth.

Except for the fact that 10 bucks used to buy you more than 10 gallons, and now it will buy you about 3.

Yeah, but seeing as how prices are only fluctuating by about 10 cents at a time, you can only buy 2-3 gallons for 10 bucks, but the amount is higher if you buy ~$50
Get what I'm trying to say?

I guess. But it doesn't matter if you're getting a couple gallons every other day or a tank every other week, it all evens out to be the same. You're only leading yourself into an illusion by making multiple small fillups by thinking that it isn't that bad.

Re: Gas prices going down?
We were reaping the benefits of dropping oil prices for a bit - Around here, in June it was hitting about $1.70 a litre but then fell back by about 25c
But since the dollar plummeted this week, we wont feel the full benefit of any further oil price drops until it recovers.
(The prices have probably started to rise already - but I haven't used my car in nearly a fortnight, let alone fueled up, so I don't know)
