greeting woman
when you meet a female for the first time how do you acknowledge there existence?
usually i just nod and say "hey". I know a guy who insists on formally shaking hands with everyone, an Italian who kisses the guys and nods at the ladys and a guy who kisses the females and nods at the guys.
all of those methods seem WAY to formal or personal. I think my way is best. I'll hazard a guess and assume most people do it my way.
MEN: how do you go about it?
LADIES: how do you prefer?

Re: greeting woman
My previous girlfriend, the first thing I ever said was "Do you spit or swallow?" and she said "swallow", whereby we were dating 3 days later.
I've noticed when I say things to girls and I expect her to get upset or hit me, I get a positive reaction, and when I try hard to be nice, I get a negative one.

Re: greeting woman
If its in the street/during the day in some public place a "hey " (normal smile not an im-imagining-you-naked smile) is all that's required.
If you're in a bar a girl's usually a LITTLE more open to anti-femminist greetings (anywhere from a 'hey honey ' to a slap on the arse haha).

Re: greeting woman
I actually really enjoy shaking hands with people, guys and girls, when I first meet them. When people just nod and say hi it makes them seem kinda reserved to me and I'll immediately see them as less of a potentional friend (instead more like an aquaintance I have little to no connection with who doesn't pay me much attention as an individual.)

I sometime shake hands with them. But it sometimes feel a little too formal.
Sometimes I just smile and say hi.
I think it is not a good greeting since I am never really good with girls.

My boyfriend's older cousin always gives me high fives. It weirds me out.
Just say hello, or something, the same way you'd talk to a guy.

Re: greeting woman
They're people just like you. It isn't like you're trying to communicate with another species.
I usually just say "What's up?" or something like "How's it going?". These are natural conversation starters that will ultimately lead to more conversation. If you say "What's up?" and they say "Nothing" that opens the door for something like "That doesn't sound to interesting." or "Is that good or bad?"

You be quiet. There's still a small portion of guys who can pull off a boyishly serious wink.
And damn if it doesn't get the ladies wet.

I like it when people look at me in the eyes then smile. Then possibly followed by, "what's your name"..etc
I like friendly people.

Re: greeting woman
I've tried shaking hands with people. Usually only guys are comfortable with handshakes, and even then, only the more mature ones. Girls for the most part are weirded out by it.
So now when friends introduce me to their female friends I just smile, say "Hey, I'm ____" and give a little wave.

LOL
In serious reply, I tend to look at people scrutinisingly, and say "have i met you before?". That's because I'm not sure if I've met them before. If I haven't, I just go "Hi I'm rabbitweed"*. Men will usually just go "hi I'm blah blah" all normally, while women will often do it in a weird "uhh...hi I'm slutface" type way, as if introducing ones self is weird.
Though that's probably because most people meet me wearing make up and making inappropriate sexual jokes that sound serious to the casual listener.
*yeah, I use my totse name. A little touch people appreciate.

Re: greeting woman
This is a trick question. You can't really say "hi" to new women you meet because you don't really want to talk to them, you want to fuck them. However, in order to get to the point of fucking them, you have to talk to them and flirt about silly crap. There is nothing worse in the entire sexual act than having to spent days on small talk before you get to drown the bag o' kittens.
Of course if you want to say "hi" in order to become friends and actually do have something to talk about it's much easier. However, if you say this to your real life friends they'll probably kick your ass due to a hormonal imbalance in their bodies, making them retarded. Funny, that most male sexual acts are done so they can please other men with. Seriously, the only reason men want to give facials to bitches is so they can tell about it to their homies. And then they start high-fivin' each other like they're out in the woods on a bbq or something.

You can pull off the wink, but it has to be with the right sort of girl. You have to follow it up right away, just a wink isn't enough.

I tend to get this eyemusclespasm at times. It's very rare, but it always happens at the worst moment possible. I either end up winking at a guy or at a fatty. It always gets people's attention.
