Ritalin + Studying/School work
I've been going to college for a few weeks now and I'm the top of my class. One of the main reasons for that is because I started taking Ritalin last month. I ran outta Ritalin a few days ago because I've been taking more than the prescribed dosage and I can still get my work down but its so much more boring and less enjoyable now. I also can't wait to get outta class now because I'm always thinking about getting food or taking a piss or doing something else. When I'm on Ritalin its the other way around I never wanna leave the class and I'm pissed off when it ends.
Lots of people say Ritalin is shit but I disagree. If you use it to study and do school work and that kinda thing then its like a wonder drug. It makes doing long, boring, tedious tasks fun. With the help of Ritalin I'm gonna get all sorts of degrees and PhD's with ease. That should be the motto for Ritalin. Ritalin - Get your degrees and PhD's with ease.

Re: Ritalin + Studying/School work
If you don't mind me asking, how much Ritalin have you been taking(dosage wise, ex: 10mg,20mg,30mg) In order to make the long school days "easier" and whatnot?

Re: Ritalin + Studying/School work
I use dexedrine for school work and it pisses me off. There's a fine line between "I took too little I don't feel like doing work" and "shit there's a spot on the floor I better spend the next 8 hours cleaning everything till it shines and forget my work is even there". If I take even a little too much I forget what my original objective is and I end up getting shit done but not the shit I set out to do. I've tried ritalin but I didn't like it, I actually fell asleep like 2 hours after I took it. Dexedrine makes sleeping physically impossible for me (which is good and bad) but it also makes my heart beat insanely (which is just bad), mind you I don't take the recommended dose. I'm in university and I don't agree that it helps you get degrees with ease. If I did it more often then just for major studying I would feel completely fucking brain dead.

Re: Ritalin + Studying/School work
Someone gave me a few once and I took 1 before school (30mg time release I think) and yea it did actually make it seem a lot more positive and I got a lot done. I would have liked to have it but didn't feel like I could go to a doctor and tell him that.

Re: Ritalin + Studying/School work
Man I had a bad bad experience with Ritalin. Went like, a week straight on that shit which equals no sleep, no eating and a hefty lift in blood pressure and ultimately ends up in a hospital where you're strung out so bad that the mexican next to you who has a finger cut off from a knife fight is the funniest fucking thing in the world.

Re: Ritalin + Studying/School work
I would get adderall but my psychiatrist never even mentioned it and I dont wanna push my luck. Not yet anyway. I know he wont take me off the Ritalin cuz I am legitimately diagnosed but I don't wanna be a prick about it.
Its been 2 weeks now since my supply ran out. My psychiatrists on holidays but I asked my doctor to write a prescription and he said he's gonna look at my file when he has time today. He fuckin better write that prescription after making me wait all this time.
I can't wait to get my next supply. I've evened out in school. I'm not working twice as hard as everyone else since I stopped taking the stuff but I'm still doing pretty good. Once I get this next supply there'll be nothing stopping me.
To answer someones question I only take 2 20mg pills a day but sometimes I take 3 and on the weekends I might even take 4 or 5 to get a buzz. I don't eat them though I snort them. Eating them doesn't really do shit to me just makes me tired. Snorting them does the trick though. Gives me a cocaine like buzz when I snort 2 in a row. All the euphoria anyway no enhanced social skills though. He says to take 2 a day but I'm gonna get him to up my dosage to 3.

Must have a strong effect on you. I still get hungry and tired on it. I actually eat more than I usually do. Sometimes I'm so hungry at dinner time I eat 2 dinners. I get tired as fuck at around 9-10 so I always sleep. I never get this depression or crash other people talk about though. Drugs effect everyone differently. Ritalin is obviously a good drug for me cuz it doesn't have any bad side effects.

Re: Ritalin + Studying/School work
What is the easiest way to get Ritalin? Can I go see a doctor and explain that I have difficulty paying attention and expect to get a prescription?
I dont have a psychiatrist, the only thing around is a 24/hr walk-in hospital

Re: Ritalin + Studying/School work
Would it be easier to just buy adderall off of my friends or should I try to get a prescription?

I think they have actual tests for finding out if you have ADD/ADHD. One of my buddy's had it done and he got prescribed ritalin. But besides that, another kid I know has a 'script for adderall and is prescribed 3 months supply of 20's. His insurance is fucked so he has to pay $3 per pill (or maybe $2.50), so it might actually just be better to buy when you need 'em.

Re: Ritalin + Studying/School work
today i was on 40 mg snorted, and walked into 1st period to a test i forgot about. i got out my notes and studied the shit out of them for like 5 min, and sped thru that test. anyway, it helps but it's not a miracle worker.. you have to put your part in too. but it sure as hell makes it more enjoyable. on higher doses i love the assertiveness and shit it brings. i do it on days i have to do alot of work, or alot of boring shit to do, or for school/work/studying/tests/wangs.

Re: Ritalin + Studying/School work
I restocked. God I'm happy.
Yeah you definitely have to put effort in to get yourself to do something productive rather than sit around doing pointless shit what I mean is it makes all school related tasks so much more enjoyable. You can have fun doing what you have to get done even if its boring shit. Its not boring when your on Ritalin.
Also Ritalin makes it easy to focus in on one task and get it done rather than jumping from task to task and never getting anything finished. Thats what its prescribed for though I suppose.

If you have ADD you'll score high on the test. If you don't have ADD and just want a prescription just mark more 2's and 3's than 0's and 1's. Its a multiple choice test questions like "Do you have trouble sustaining attention when trying to focus on one particular task". Mark 0 if its not true at all mark 3 if its very true.
I wouldn't bother trying to fake it though because I'm sure most of the people that seek this out really do have ADD and they wouldn't be going to the trouble of getting an appointment with a psychiatrist if they weren't struggling with it.
