Default I made this questionnaire

I want to find out what books my fellow totseans are reading, so I need you guys to fill it out.

Basically, if you have read a book, you fill in the blanks.

Quote:
Name of text:

Name of writer:

Date read:

Type of text: (novel, article, short story, etc)

Cultural perspective: (Nationality of writer)

Gender perspective: (Gender of writer)

Literary reputation: (awards received, if any)

Why did you find the text enjoyable?

Why did a character interest you?

What did you learn?

How did you react to a scene or idea?
If you could fill it out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Hmm, they have to be a mix of short stories, magazine articles, novels, different types of writing.

They have to have a variety of different attributes, such as one from a Maori author (fuckin' niggers), one from a female author, one from a male author, bs like that.

Don't have to include all of them, I'm sure if I submit one that does not meet the requirements, she will allow it. Well she better, or I will raep her.

BTW, have to have this finished in the next few weeks.

Haven't you ever read a book before? Christ, you fucking kids are lazy as shit these days. Just brew up some coffee, download a few novellas or short stories and get it over with. Get the thing DONE. And don't worry if it's good, she's probably not gonna read it anyway.

I would've done it already but I'm having trouble thinking of books. Maybe you could suggest nine of them?

And no, last time I read a book was at least last year, I do most of my reading on totse.

Here's what I have so far, this is my first one, fuck it fails, I need more personal opinion, and that is VERY HARD:

Name of text: Frankenstein

Name of writer: Mary Shelley

Date read: March 2008

Type of text: Novel

Cultural Perspective: British

Gender Perspective: Female

Literary Reputation: NA

This book was quite a good read for me. I have always enjoyed horror novels, and thought to myself, “why not read Frankenstein?” After a while of searching on the internet, I came across this book and downloaded it. The story begins in the icy northern waters where a captain is travelling to the North Pole. Events take place throughout Europe, in Scotland, England, and Switzerland. The story is about a man named Victor Frankenstein, who “creates” a man out of old body parts, and his guilt for creating such a monster. When the Frankenstein monster realises how he was “created” and is rejected from mankind, he seeks revenge against his creator’s family to avenge his own sorrow. Once the monster has learned that Victor has died, he is overcome by sadness and vows to burn himself alive at the “the Northernmost extremity of the globe”. If I was in the monster’s situation, I would do what he did,

An interesting character in this novel was Frankenstein’s monster; this monster didn’t even get a name. This was my favourite character in the whole novel. Victor shows his rejection towards this being by referring to it as “demon”, “fiend”, “monster” and “wretch” throughout the novel. The monster gains the “power of speech” by living in the woodshed of a little cottage out in the wilderness. He eavesdrops all of their conversations, and learns everything about the peasants living in the cottage. In this entire novel, the only person whom he really considered family was Victor himself, and the blind man in the cottage, because the blind man could not see his “ugliness”.

A theme in this novel is searching for love. Throughout it, the monster tries to search for love several times, but does not find anything. He knows he is horrid and unloved although he still tries to find love, but is ultimately rejected and disappointed constantly.

This review sucks, I'd laugh if you actually passed if you use this, then again, I'd laugh if you failed.

Post up some writing that you've done, if you've got any.

The assessments aren't really hard, they're just gay and I can't be fucked doing them, like the speech one, easiest three credits ever, but who the fuck likes doing speeches? (No, I did not do it.)

Ian Rogers: Yes, I'm in NZ.

Book reviews aren't external.

Yeah right. I'm not posting them in case they get moderated. Besides, you have to do some questions on a random review that the teacher chooses to proove you actually read it.

Speeches are fun!
