how would you guys compare these.


i just started getting prescribed to .5mg of xanax and because i used to abuse it so much it didnt do shit after taking like 4 which equals a complete bar. THen i got prescribed klonopin and i took a few .5mg and it was much stronger it seemed. whats the difference between these two as well as valium?

IIRC xanax and kpins are equal in anxiety relief Mg or mg and Valium is equal to those in 10mg=1mg of kpin or xanax for anxiety relief. But for Rec usage Xanax is stonger than the Kpins IMO in like 1mg of xanax equals 2mg of Kpins. And Valium is 20mg = 1mg of xanax.

1mg klonopin=10 mg Valium

Klonopin and xanax are pretty much the same potency, probaly some of the most potent drugs in the benzo class.

I consider klonopin superior to both, its more potent then Valium and IMO much better for anxiety and recreational purposes. The only downside is klonopins long half life, which is why many people tend to prefer xanax to klonopin; im not one of them. Xanax is a good drug for panic attacks, but you tend to black out more on it on recreational dosages. Don't get me wrong, you can definatley blackout off klonopin, but it seems much more evident with xanax.

As with Alex said, it can be a double edged sword.

But if you would read what I wrote carefully, you would see that I prefer klonopin over xanax any day of the week, as in ;i am not one of them . Many people do not like being benzo'ed out for 12 hours , and would just rather pop a few xanax, drink a couple beers and pass out within the next couple hours. You can also dose easier with a shorter acting benzo then you can with a longer acting one, especially if your making combos.

To me though, xanax is shit compared to k-pins in terms of recreational use(which really doesnt exist for me any more). Klonopin last longer, fucks you up more, lowers inhibitions more, and has much less of an 'amnesia' effect to it. It also works alot better for anxiety(but to be fair, xanax is much better for panic attacks).

thanks for the help. I was just curious what the difference is with these and what are the chances you would get prescribed valium over the other two?

everyone in this thread is wrong, because xanax and kpin ARE equal in potency by mg, but 1 mg xanax/kpin = 20 mgs valium.

For me atleast, Xanax fucks me up way more than k-pins but I kind of like kk-pins better because your not as uselessly trashed and it doesn't completely destroy your memory either.

do you see the word APPROXIMATE in that table? i do. and still, individuals respond to pharmaceuticals differently. that's a generalization. a useful generalization, but a generalization.
