Dmt
So, some people I may or may not be very good friends with finally came in contact with a dealer who sells DMT. I was a tripsitter last night and just watching it got me excited to try it since everyone came out of it ecstatic, smiling, and overwhelmingly changed for the better.
Although my only problem is, the only experience I have with drugs is marijuana, some painkillers, and adderall. I have never hallucinated, with the exception of a few weird shapes when I would get really high. I am already an extremely....existential person. I feel as if I'm on a slightly higher intelligence plane than many of my friends.
I tend to overanalyze things when I'm both sober and intoxicated. Not to the point that I begin to panic, but I feel as if this type of extreme trip would put me into a panic attack I couldn't get out of. I am very curious to truly feel an 'alternate, weightless dimension', but I feel as if it will be so overwhelming that I won't be able to just 'accept it' as others have said they do. Does anyone have experience with trying this after only smoking marijuana? Were you able to handle it or did your anxiety make it a bad trip?

No people who take advice like that seriously deserve the banhammer of life.

I am predisposed to anxiety, panic attacks and overthinking but I took dmt a few years ago and none of that internal thinking matters whilst on this substance.
Ever think that maybe sensible drug use might help your mindset?
It sure as hell did for me.

Re: --------dmt--------
People handle things differently but the best advice I can give you is to just go for it. If you go into it with alot of anxiety and worry about whether you'll be able to handle it or not you aren't going to have the best mindset and the trip will reflect as much. I recommend that you just leave your worries behind and give it a go. Regardless of whether you have a good trip or a bad one you'll likely learn a lot if you're willing to pay attention and listen to what you're "told" by the DMT.
It's an extremely powerful substance and passing up an opportunity to be blessed with it's teaching just because you're afraid of what you may see is something that just sounds ridiculous to me.

Re: --------dmt--------
I cant wait to try it, but which will probably be next summer...
but it will be the most intense experience of your life, i would recommend another psych like acid or mushrooms before because at least with those you have a chance to come up and then start tripping...
DMT is going to be like taking the hit and being launched into somewhere else.
expect to lose visual touch with reality in a matter of seconds...
one of the quotes going along with dmt is "load universe into cannon. aim at head. fire."
Having reality ripped away from you in seconds isn't something alot of people like. I had no real complaints about salvia but in the sober to another world in seconds aspect of it, you might get the idea...
Psychs can be life changing, DMT is generally considered to be the most powerful of them...
if you do it, don't be surprised when it taste and feels like your smoking plastic...

if you smoke enough weed you'll probably stop over thinking things. if you don't have a family history of early on set of mental illness its really up to how strong you are mentally. i've heard experienced psyc heads tell me they'll never touch it again after their first times...for what thats worth.

Re: Dmt
I'm kind of predisposed to making ridiculous connections and having dillusions of grandeur that seem like they should affect my life and all life for that matter, so I can sort of relate.
In my experience, when dealing with any powerful dimension altering drug, you have to go into it with the mindset that it is only really a drug, and that your mind is going to be in the end much stronger than a few milligrams of some obscure substance. It's all really just mind over matter. If you are paranoid and scared, the chances are you will have one hell of a scary ass paranoia riddled trip.
Of course you can't control what happens or how you will feel, but you can help it. Remembering that it is really just a drug, and that there is more to life should help you to some extent. Now on saying that, I haven't actually experimented with DMT, so I don't have any personal experience. But while using other drugs such as DXM, mushrooms, LSD, and Salvia, I've found this technique to be quite helpful, seeing as I myself had issues with ego-loss and seemingly life changing breakthroughs while just under the influence of Marijuana. Drug abuse becomes an acquired skill, and some intense drug abusers, do not even have that skill.
Good luck.

Re: Dmt
I definitely would not recommend DMT before you try other psychedelics. It is too fast and furious to really be able to integrate it afterward. IMO, smoked DMT is not that useful for introspection or gaining tangible insights, rather a serious mindfuck and a reminder of the other dimensions always working right behind the curtain of normal consciousness. It is pretty fun though because you will not get a more powerful visual experience even if you take a high dose of lsd. The sounds and geometric patterns on n-n-DMT (less visual with 5-MeO-DMT) are really something else. I've never gotten auditory hallucinations like angelic music on any other drug and DMT consistently gives a feeling that there are these hyperdimensional characters or personalities. Fun stuff, but again, hard to work with for introspection because it's too short and intense. Not what you want for your first psychedelic experience imo.

Re: Dmt
All I have to say about DMT is that in my experience, I became one with the chrysanthemum and it was the most intense crazy visual shit I've ever experienced. Quite the mind fuck.
The world is different after DMT. A good different. Some untangible indescribable feeling? point of view? Something.
I can't fucking wait to break through. I am saving that experience though, not sure for when, but it is so special that I feel I should wait a good while and try to fully understand my initial trip.
As for not learning life lessons like mentioned above, I learned one of the simplest and truest lessons there is.
It doesn't matter how bumpy the ride. Shut the fuck up and enjoy the scenery. Stop questioning everything and understand that life is not about the destination, but the journy.
DMT is fucking win.

Re: Dmt
If you want introspection I recommend taking it orally with some syrian rue. Otherwise you should go for it, stepping up through weaker psychs won't help you too much (though I recommend salvia first so you know kind of what you're getting into). On the other hand, extracting DMT is easy as hell and you shouldn't really treat availability as too much of a factor for this decision.

Thank you. I meant to say something similar and got caught up reliving DMT. Not even a full blown drug state could make that ass tolerable.
