I've never heard that name before, the salts part at the end, that is. My roommate has a prescription for this, I noticed the bottle sitting out. Google wasn't much help. I read how meth is sometimes prescribed for ADHD and that the brand name is Desoxyn, but that name wasn't on his bottle. Though I guess it could be a generic medicine. He's not overweight, so it's not for that.

Desoxyn is prescribed for ADHD and narcolepsy, and I believe it's a second line treatment for extreme obesity as well.

And it is methamphetamine, specifically d-methamphetamine.

methamp hydrochloride is desoxyn, given out for obesity, adhd, narcolepsy and offlabel for severe depression in the united states. He probably bought them from one of the few people with prescriptions for it. As I imagine when people with desoxyn scrips realized how much they were worth they would sell them off for big bucks.

It is a Schedule II substance, in the same class as Morphine and Cocaine, a doctor can prescribe it, but there are no refills. You need to go back to the doctor every 30 days or so to get the prescription wrote back out.

uh....no. meth, amps, and other stimulants are regularly prescribed for ADD/ADHD. in fact, there pretty much the only thing prescribed for it. there are a few non-stim meds, but arent even close to as effective in most cases, an the side effects are generally much worse.

ive had\been diagnosed with ADD for the past 8 years. i started off on ritalin for about a year, moved off for a year, and was on amp\ dextro-amp for the last 6 years or so. yes, they do help. an incredible ammount.

and ADD is either fake/overdiagnosed or i have it, because i think it's just for kids who can't deal. i have some horrible "ADD" and i hate when people talk about it like "oohh i forgot my add meds! i cant do anything today!" or "Yea.. i'm ADD so don't blame me for this", or try to act like it's part of who they are. shit kids, everyone has a spot of "ADD".

and i think its humorous that basically 1/2 of everyone has this disease and 'needs' an amphetamine regimen to do homework. when i do adderall at somewhat high doses (40-60 mg) I take pleasure in and appreciate the challenge of school work.. i'm more assertive, more lucid and better at talking in front of crowds. and it's not because I have a disease that needs curing.. its because i'm taking fucking amps.

You were right about one part, but Desoxyn (meth) IS prescribed in some cases of ADD. But yeah, my roommate is just taking generic adderall. I remember buying the stuff in high school. It did make me feel good, social and focused, but then when it starts to wear off I just felt like shit. Like I was bored but unwilling to do anything, so I'd just watch a movie I'd seen before and try to go to sleep. Eventually I disliked the end part so much that I deemed it not worth it.

the thing is though, if he's been on it for 3 years, taking the same dose daily, he really isnt going to feel amazing from them. its not that he's talkign crap, its that he has a tolerance, and takes a low dose
