Cunning Linguists Languages and their use. What languages do you speak and why? What do words really mean? Can you say things in one language that you can't say in another? Should there be a national language? How many languages should a person know and what are they?

Default French: Hibou Et Minette ?

Could someone please either post up or link me to a copy/.txt of the Edward Lear nonsense rhyme "The Owl And The Pussy Cat" ?

Stupid request I know but my french isn't really good enough to translate it in my head and I can't find a text of it online.

Depending on what sort of French you are then you may know it by other names like "Sire Hibou et Dame Chat" Or "Minette Et L'Hibou"

Le Hibou et la Poussiquette

I

Hibou et Minou allèrent à la mer
Dans une barque peinte en jaune-canari;

Ils voguèrent, fous d’amour, une année et un jour;

Se servant d’une cuillère peu commune;
