Vodka Infusion
Anyone here got any favourite recipes for vodka infusions?
Anything as simple as just sweets or maybe something with fruit, vegetables and herbs?
I think the next time im gonna be drinking im gonna make skittles vodka and only use green ones  |

Mango and other fruits always make a good mix. I've tried strawberries, mango and watermelon.
I knew a chick that dug on skittles in hers..never tried it.

Pepper Vodka is tasty, Crush up some pepper corns add to vodka store for a week or so shaking every day than strain and rebottle.

Dude that's fucking nasty. You'd spend an entire week on something like that straining and everything? Yum yum, the "taste" of pepper mixed with the taste of a gross alcohol.

It is actually commercial produced by some very respected Vodka houses and is known to be quite the delicate taste.

I've never seen it...nor would I be interested in drinking that crap. I highly doubt that's all they use either. Even if it is produced, that's all the more reason for making it yourself not making sense! Smell what I'm steppin in?

Yeah because making a poor version of a commercial alcohol that takes up waay too much time for what you're getting out of it is really smart.

Also, that'd be a savings of like 10 bucks and I don't really consider that worth bothering with. You'd still need to buy the bottle of fucking vodka to mix it with now wouldn't you? Annd I'm guessing if you buy some cheap ass rotgut a little pepper aint gonna make it all that tasty...I don't care how well you like it.

Pffft, shaking a bottle a few times once or twice a day is really time consuming. 
Admittedly, it's probably not really worth doing with store bought vodka, however if you do happen to have your own still..

It is actually time consuming in that it takes some time to do it...regardless of how much or little. Annd considering we've already verified that it's ultimately not worth the "effort" because you really wouldn't be saving any money it is therefore not worth the time it takes to do it.

Pineapple Pepper Martini
1 1/2oz pepper vodka
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
2oz pineapple juice
Shake ingredients cold and serve in a martini glass. You get a sweet, fruity pineapple flavor up front, but then the fire kicks in, and you get the slow burn in the finish.

^Mmm, that sounds mighty tasty.
As for alcohol infusions...I've typically gone with weed or kratom resin...though the resin is better with some good brandy.
Kratom resin sucks in general, but a nice size chunk in a snifter with some brandy poured over it and some occasional swirling with a slow sip...this works fairly well, adds a bit of extra oomph to two fingers, good for the hour before bed.

Now, I know this isn't Vodka..but this is an excellent recipe involving Alcohol.
gal of apple juice
1 gal of apple cider
4 cups of sugar
7 cinnamon sticks
1 qt everclear
Add the Apple Juice,Cider,Cinammon sticks and Sugar
Boil until the cinnamon sticks fully 'open up' and then let it cool a bit. Add the everclear, chill for around 30-45 mins drink and enjoy. It tastes like Apple pie and the Everclear isn't even noticeable. Gets you LIT and pretty out of control :).

Pepper Vodka is tasty I have a bottle half empty right now and I want to make a hot chilli vodka with the seeds from hot chillis (those have the most heat in em). I can drink shot after shot of pepper vodka, but I love the taste of pepper and Chillis.
