If so, how much do you pack them and how do you pack them? (hold the pack by the sides, by the front and back, by the...) How hard do you pack them? How big of a difference do you notice between packed and non-packed? Do you like them better packed or non-packed? Do you ever get pissed at the tobacco companies when you actually look closely at how much room there is for more tobacco? And lastly, was this thread a waste of time? Thanks for answering

I hold mine with my index finger on the bottom and the rest in my palm. I smack it against my other opened hand. I never really pack them too hard though. I smoked some cigs from a friend of mines fresh pack and those things were packed sooo tight that i had a hard time smokin them.

I guess a medium light pack...when i smoke unpacked cigs they seem flimsy and too loose.

This is like asking how BLTC cleans their fingernails. Who cares? Just pack them as much as you like however you like.

I pack them upside down and rather hard around 5-10 times. I usually end up pushing the tobacco down about a quater inch or so.

Packing them is a good way to ensure that you don't get a pocket full of loose tobacco if you use soft packs and a good way to ensure you keep the tobacco in the cigs with hard packs. It's generally a good idea to do it regardless of the situation.

Oops, I forgot to answer my own question! I always pack mine, I introduced my parents to packing actually, they've been smoking for 25+ years and they've never packed even one cigarette. My Dad started doing it after I showed him but he doesn't anymore. I usually just take singles from my parents (I don't smoke a lot). They way I pack it is kind of weird I guess, I've never seen anybody except for my friend who showed me how to do it.

Anyways, I take the cigarette, hold it between my thumb and index finger near the middle of the white paper, lift it up about 2 feet above a flat surface and throw it straight down so the filter hits the surface straight on. You can tell you did it right if it bounces back up in the air, sometimes if the filter doesn't hit the surface directly, it will just fall over. Usually I do this 4-5 times, it always ends up packing the cigarette better then I could ever get them using the traditional way. When I get it to the point it can't be packed anymore, there is usually around a quarter inch of paper left over. I personally don't care that tobacco companies do this since I don't spend any money on cigs. If you pack a whole pack of cigarettes this way, there is probably enough tobacco left over to fill one or two more cigarettes, applied to mass production, I'm sure it saves the tobacco companies a good deal of money.

To answer the last question, yes I think this thread was a waste of time, more so then most other non-troll threads in BLTC. I was bored and beginning to nod off, so I decided to make this thread because I haven't seen one like it on BLTC, although I'm sure there have been threads on this subject many times before.

Damn... that must take wtfbbqleet skills, how do you do this? It would be interesting to pack other's cigarettes for them, so when the open there pack, the cigarettes are already pre-packed. It could make for a little bit of lulz or wowz.
