I'm pretty sure inner tube is a word in every version of English. If you don't know what it is, it is the part of a tyre (tire in USA) that is pressurized. It is rarely used in car tyres. Have you ever seen some kids at a lake lying on top of a donut shaped rubber thing? That's the inner tube from a tractor tyre.

It's a donut-shaped flotation device.
