Marijuana and Cigarette Tubes
So i've got one of those little plastic machines where you put the tobacco in and stick those empty cigarette tubes that you buy on the end and you end up with a really nice homemade cigarette. I'm sure a lot of you have seen these or atleast know what im talking about...
Anyway, I was wondering how marijuana would work out. My main concern is the filter and if it would filter out anything from the marijuana that i wouldnt want it to. I'm sure it would some but i'm wondering if its anything substantial. I figure I could always just make it and than just break off the filter too.
I'm also thinking this would be nice for smoking in public (of course not busy populated areas or anything like that) if I mixed in tobacco. Has anyone tried this? I know its pretty common in Amsterdam and all over elsewhere to smoke joints with weed and tobacco mixed. How well does this mask the smell of the marijuana?
Thanks in advance. :)

Re: Marijuana and Cigarette Tubes
You can pull the cotton filter stuff out of the brown part if you are careful as far as I know. Then get a piece of index card and cut it into a small strip, fold it into a zig-zag shape so it fits in the brown part and holds the pot in so none sucks through.
If it has tobacco in it its going to hit a little more harshly, but it will get you high in a relatively public place.

Re: Marijuana and Cigarette Tubes
Pull out the filter with your teeth and replace it with a rolled up piece of stiff paper. Cigarette tubes burn way too fast though.

Re: Marijuana and Cigarette Tubes
If you goto a headshop you'll find similar devices made for rolling joints.
But, as said above, simply removing the filter will leave you with a nicely rolled J. Don't use it all the time though..I know people who rely completely on those devices to roll so they never learned themselves.

Yep, I'm like that. I cheat at making joints every time, I fail. I never learned to do it freehand sadly. Oh well, I smoke out of my roor like 95% of the time anyways.

Re: Marijuana and Cigarette Tubes
Just roll the filter back and forth between your fingers to break the glue apart from the tube, and then pull/poke it out.

Re: Marijuana and Cigarette Tubes
So if I mix with tobacco it wont smell incriminating? :D
And I would just pull the filter out and smoke it like a non-filter, right?

It really depends on the smell of the pot. Unless it's some shitty ass weed the tobacco generally doesn't totally cover it up, it usually ends up smelling like "off tobacco" or "off weed"
And yeah, that'd be the way to do it. After rolling remove the filter.

if your adding tobacco, i'd suggest keeping the filter. and it will still have a pot-esque smell dude...

Re: Marijuana and Cigarette Tubes
This, but you can easily say it's cloves or some home-rolled stuff to mitigate suspicion.
Note I said 'mitigate.'
Not 'remove.'

Re: Marijuana and Cigarette Tubes
This is a good idea when walking around in public or while smoking in your car while driving in well-policed areas.
Hot tip: make some honey oil (resin works too), get it on warmish but not too hot, straightened out paper clip, and stick it through the middle of the cig from top until the make shift filter mentioned earlier. Now that's tasty!

Yea I used to pack my own cigarettes and I would put like .2 of marijuana in each one and some of them I would put 100% weed (about .8) and mark the filter with a red pen. Those ones I would take the filter out and replace it with a rolled up piece of cardboard but the others I just left the filter in.

I believe he is talking about a cigarette machine.

And yes the trained nose can smell it. But if they can smell it they probably smoke weed too.

Re: Marijuana and Cigarette Tubes
I don't understand... I have been with a buddy and we had no papers... we emptied a smoke and filled it with finely chopped bud.
We did NOT take out the regular filter... it worked great and got us very high.
I don't understand why everyone thinks it is a good idea to remove the filter... someone please clear this up.
If people are saying it filters the THC/CBD I might be very angry... because that is untrue.

Re: Marijuana and Cigarette Tubes
Have you see how much tar collects just on a rolled up cardboard filter with lots of space for the smoke to get through?
Well a cotton filter is much finer so you could imagine how much more is going to get trapped, seems to me like it's common sense.

I agree, common sense tells you that smoke passing through anything is going to have some left behind. I have an old rolled up poster that I use just to blow hits out my window when I dont want it to smell, and the inside of that thing is all tarred and discolored, so passing through a fine filter will deff make a bigger difference.
In any event i tried it and it worked out fine. I may have not used enough of a weed to tobacco ratio, either that or the filter did make a big enough difference. I wouldnt say that I got high in the sense i do taking a few hits from a bowl but I sure had a nice buzz going when i was done with my cigg. The friends that i was with who also smoke weed deff caught the smell every once and awhile and asked me if I smelled weed... I innocently said no :D

it isn't a good idea to remove a filter, and if your adding tobacco into your weed its kind of dumb to not have a filter. its probally safer if you think about it, with ya know tar removal at its design...
i've smoked enough pot through a filter to get as angry as you when i hear of a kidiot saying "omg noes precious thc!"
