So lately I've been interested in experiencing a mild datura trip. Reading the experience reports it seems most end up in the hospital, but these people have something in common: they either tried to drive a car or confronted their parents, who rightfully freak out.

I'm convinced I could have a good experience if I keep the dose low, as it seems 10+ seeds, or more than one flower or leaf in an herbal tea is too much and sends people tripping in a negative way.

Well, I found this growing all by itself with no other sign of a similar plant within sight.

It's young and so hard to compare to mature daturas using google image search. The stem structure looks correct and there are 2 premature flower bulbs facing downwards. I could wait a month and see what happens, which is probably what I'll do, but what do you think totse? Datura or just a weed?

Pics won't load for me either. You shouldn't fuck with datura unless you are an experienced shaman/psychonaught/whateveryouwantocallit you can't just get fucked up on it. You haven't listed your motives for taking it but i'd guess you just want a buzz. Stay away.

If you're prepared for an introspective experience however and have a tripsitter go for it I guess... or if you fancy yourself the next Oscar Acosta, start swallowing it down with as much bottles of tequila as you can and find someone to be your Hunter Thompson.

But yes, the vibe I get from the experience reports is to stay away. Whether or not I get around to consuming a few seeds is still questionable at this point, but if and when I do I won't be looking for a buzz. I've done psychedelics and can comprehend the difference between what someone describes and what their trip really entails - I know living it is a hell of a lot different than hearing it.

Basically I want to do it for 2 reasons. The first to be closer to understanding myself, my mind and consciousness in general, and the second to get back in contact with old friends, who have either died or moved away, and long deceased pets.

When I say to better understand myself, I'm refering to other's trips where they've perpetually "smoked" a cigarette that wasn't ever there. This, in my humble opinion, shows the drug brings up daily or old habits and allows you to re-live memories of subjective importance. Being a non-smoker, I'm interested to see what sort of old memories and habits I might mimic while in my drug induced state.

why does everyone want datura get some acid its so much better. you dont know what ur getting urself into.

try eating a box of benadryl first that might get you some training wheels for datura.

Cid is cool but I'm the kinda druggie that tries everything once. The only chemicals I habitually use are caffeine, alcohol and thc, and even then I'm trying to kick the weed habit. Acid was fun, but I wouldn't ever fuck my mind like that multiple times. My buddy is a big cid guy and he personally told me he needed to enjoy it a few more times and stop dead in his tracks cause he said, "it's starting to take its toll on my mind." I wouldn't tell him but it shows, he's not the same person. He's more friendly, but in that "hey man, ya know man" post acid daze and he's starting to have trouble finding words. I can't do that to myself.

I prob won't end up doing datura anyway. As for the plant ID, I think I'll just wait a few weeks for it to mature and make my own assumptions. And as for the benadryl, I'll pass, thank you. I feel like shit the next day even if I take one.

Hunting on Datura sounds like a bad idea....:p
