There is intelligent discussion almost always happening in BLTC..problem is those threads are overwhelmed by the troll posts and general idiocy.

Sure, this isn't the best place for kindness, but it sure is fucking funny to read the asshole-ish stuff people say on here. And then every once in a while, a decent thread with real information comes up. That's pretty cool too.

If someone is coming to BLTC for the primary purpose of intelligent discussion, they're stupid.

The main reason I come here is to try to do my part in promoting responsible drug use. Yeah, it's always fun to tell some blubbering idiot to go huff starter fluid but when I see a legitimate and coherent question here about something I happen to know about, I more often than not take the time to try to help them out. More than once have I spent ten or fifteen minutes trying to search around for some horribly obscure pill imprint for some random person that found them in the hallway or some crack house or something. I know there are people who would/can attest to that.

I've also been taking psychiatric meds, the majority of them not needed at all and some being horribly abused, over the course of the past 10 years and chances are that if someone has a question about an anti-depressant/mood stabilizer/anti-psychotic/benzodiazepine, I probably know a thing or two about it from not just Erowid but personal experience as well.

And I know damn well the same can be said for a lot of the other regulars, too. Albeit we might get a laugh or two at the expense of some blatant idiot, watch how fast you'll see helpful and intelligent replies pour into a thread when somebody honestly asks for help in a potentially dangerous situation.
