This hasn't happened to me yet, but my friends sometimes throw up and/or get nose bleeds after smoking too much pot. Are there any measures I can go to that will prevent this?

Just smoke it. Weed isn't doing that to your friends. Sounds like they're smoking fiberglass or asbestos. Or some Grade A Shwag.

In over 10 years of smoking pot, I have never had a nosebleed as a result of having a smoke. Well, not unless someone had punched me in the face whilst I was having said smoke anyway, ahah.

Well the nose bleed has only happened once, and I guess he was the kind of guy to get a nose bleed from even being nervous.

As for the throwing up, could it be the dizziness? Like motion sickness and shit?

What ever happened to just experiencing the shit?

people i've seen throwing up from weed have been from major hits from gravity bongs by noobs, using the usual 2 litre bottle, coughing alot makes people gag, then later vomit.

i felt like vomiting one time due to extreme cotton mouth when i was a noob smoker. as for the nose bleeds, i seriously doubt it has anything to do with the weed, more related to the person themselves being more prone to those things when its dry out.

i've smoked over an oz in a night with a couple of other people (of some schwag) and never had any issues like that, and smoked over a half oz of some daaank white rhino. that gave me the weed hallucinations. takes a lot of weed to get those, geometric patterns / CEV's, anybody ever get those?

Yeah I got that just a few days ago. But it wasn't from kind, it was from some good bud though. I had 2 blunts shared with a few other people and we hotboxed a small room. I was already high beforehand, then I smoked that shit and got a huge head rush and had to get up to go to the bathroom. In front of me were the patterns going on and just basically making things look distorted, no major hallucinations. Still it was weird to get that and I was extremely baked due to my low tolerance.

So.. 4 years daily smoking no puking / nosebleeds related to weed.

Friends of mine have "greened out" as it's called around here, which means they generally felt like shit afterwards and puked. Could be from spinning or something in one's head. Dunno. People puke for a meriad of reasons, discomfort of the body/mind being one of them.

If you don't mix weed with alcohol or tobacco it's pretty much impossible to vomit in my experience, and I've never heard of nosebleeds.

yup, i actually get that pretty often, as well as the breathing effect. or like the shifting effect, if you know what those are.

i get those geometric patterns when i smoke, oh, say like 1 gram of dank to myself.

it might not be intense as the ones you're talking about, but its like when i look up at the night sky i can see little.. "pills" and a grid connecting all of them.

and the CEV's I get too.

that's odd that this comes up as I was deep into a 30 rack of Coors Light and all of a sudden felt kinda sick.

My buddy's natural reaction, and mine too, was to take a hit off a bowl to settle my stomach. As soon as I exhaled my hit however, I proceeded to feel the puke come on and made it to a trash can just in time.

Ah, yes. I remember one time when I was in High School I puked after hitting a steam roller for the first time. Other than that, I've only puked while drinking at the same time. As for nosebleeds... never heard of that. He's not... snorting it, is he?

I've never puked from weed alone. Only when alcohol is added to the mix. Nosebleeds though, I've never heard of anyone getting that from being high. It might just be a random one that the person who had it gets.

Glancing over these answers there dont seem to be any that really answer the question. The throwing up is from swallowing the smoke and not inhaling. Breathe normally and dont gulp the smoke down like water.

As for the nosebleeds doesnt smoke thin the blood and that, just like too much salt, would cause a nosebleed. Or maybe that's due to blood pressure? Either way, it's never happened to me or anyone i knew. So probably just the friends.

Hey now. Tobacco tastes good unless you are new to smoking it. Which would explain the nausea as well.

Sometimes if I am drinking a lot and start to feel sick smoking a cone can make it worse just for a minute after smoking. Then it's gone.
