I don't justify my drug use, I know I should spend my drug money on counseling instead of resorting to drugs to help me with my mild depression and stress issues, but I do it anyways because I'm addicted and I don't let it affect my bills and health, etc.

My concern is that I was in an argument with a significant other that got me down and I turned to my stash 3 days before a drug screen.

I'm on a plea agreement (NOT PROBATION) to where I need to do drug tests once a month and turn the results into the court. I'm supposed to have it done by the first business day of the month, but I'm given a 72 hour leniency buffer. I'd rather not use it and do the drug test at the last moment on the 4th and arise suspicion for any reason.

I took something I know would cause a positive for a drug test w/out really worrying about it, yes irresposible, anyways.

My question is how long does it stay in your system for a rapid urine drug screen (not sent to a lab). Yes I've used google and erowid and did some research, I'd just like some personal experience and feedback.

From what I gathered it can stay anywhere from 3-7 days according to an article on erowid (whose information I trusted over all the others).

Now is this the time limit PERIOD or w/ habitual use. Is the time reduced if it's a single use, like it is w/ weed (habitual can last several weeks while single use can clear out in 5-7 days).

Either way, I think I'm covered because I smoke weed occassionally and always drink a gallon of water before a drug screen along w/ 2 vitamin pills an energy drink and several vitamin A pills to yellow the sample (which has always made it so they can't detect anomalys or tampered specimens due to the filtering).

But I'd like to go in stress free, as stated above, I have stress issues, knowing that I'm going in there for the most part fine would help me mentally alot.

And I'm sure some of you have nothing better to do than to flame, but any helpful feedback, experiences, or advice would be appreciated :)


P.S. A side note, female friend of mine wants to know the time methadone and oxycontin, I am adding this as I'm typing it, just was asked, didn't even to any searching on it, I will after typing this incase no one has any help for that as well.

Erowid says 4-5 days when used frequently. If you did it once and you have four days you should be fine, especially if you're going to flush with water/vitamins. Good luck ;]
