I carry around a spyderco 5.5 inch folding knife clipped to my belt at all times.

the steel on the fucking thing is so fucking tough, best knife ever. Never lets me down.

Knife is a terrible choice. Unless you are trained in knife combat (and from reading this mental detritus you call a post, I am going to assume not), there is a possibility you'll get it wrestled out of your hands. In that case I hope you aren't that attached to your kidneys.

Best carry a blunt object like a knight stick or baton. If they get that from you somehow the chances of you sustaining a mortal wound is low(er).

I carry either a Spyderco Spyderfly (Butterfly knife), a Spyderco ParaMilitary, or an Emerson CQC7BW, with the wave feature.

I've used it to fend another guy with a knife off, and another time, three guys (Unarmed) who intended to jump me.

When I go to sleep, I keep one or all of the knives by my bedside, and I have (For some reason) a steel, rubber handled mallet leaning against the nightstand.

No firearms to speak of, though.
