benzo tolerance / weed + benzos
So. hypothetically:
Have been taking 3-4 mg lorazepam / day... and undoubtedly (and sadly) have been gaining a tolerance.
After taking the benzos. or (if taken at night w/ alcohol) - the next day when hash is smoked - there is barely any mental feeling of "high"...
Is this merely a half-life issue?
I must also mention that recently (due to a location change) only hash has been smoked instead of weed.
Thanks... i know this is an awkward post.

Re: benzo tolerance / weed + benzos
weed and hash don't have a cross tolerance.
benzos and weed together produce a stronger high than weed alone and now that you're building up a tolerance(to the benzos) that stronger high has diminished hence why it feels weaker.

Re: benzo tolerance / weed + benzos
There's no way that residual effects of lorazepam are carrying over to the day after its use.

Re: benzo tolerance / weed + benzos
the benzos wont kill a hash high or anything, and that sounds like too much time inbetween usage.
and spinal cord, weed and hash DO have a cross tolerance.

Re: benzo tolerance / weed + benzos
1) Benzo use does not inhibit marijuana's effect on the brain.
2) Primarily, co-administration of these substances results in a much stronger high.
3) Ativan has such a short half-life that it won't account for the phenomenon you're experiencing.
Maybe your weed just sucks this time around. Maybe you're just not getting as high after smoking weed for awhile. Maybe the combo is losing its effectiveness.
Ativan did not stop you from getting high on weed.
