| Better Living Through Chemistry Discussions of any and all sorts of mind-warping chemicals, pills, booze, mind machines, trippy stuff, current street prices, importing pharmaceuticals, smart drugs, nutrients, herbs, and altered states. Local police: Raids
Lets say you live with your parents in their house that they own. You have your car in your name, but registered to that address that you park infront of their house when your there. House is clean. But any narcotics are kept in the car. House gets raided, with a normal local police warrant, will they have rights to search that car? State of Arizona if it makes a difference.

Re: Local police: Raids
A search warrant is NOT needed. If a vehicle is in a public place (i.e. a street) and the officer has probable cause they may search the car with or without consent. Read the Carroll Doctrine (from Carroll v. United States)
Since you park it ON the road...

Re: Local police: Raids
I believe, though I am not positive that they have to obtain a separate warrant.

Re: Local police: Raids
Utmost importance is to have nothing that can get put on your parents if house is raided.
