Suboxone WD / Klonopin therapy
I am once and for all ditching the old Suboxone crutch.
I have weened from 24mgs a day, all the way down to 8mgs a day.
Now, come next week, I'm just going to stop taking them all together.
At my disposal I have about 50mgs of Klonopin (50 1mg pills)
How would I stretch these out (therapeutically) so I would have the least amount of suffering during this detox?
I don't want to go over kill (because coming off 8mgs won't be bad at all) but just enough so the anxiety isn't killing me/shakes aren't making me old jaw rattle.
3mgs a day? 4mgs?
I have NO benzo tolerance at the moment - and weigh about 130 pounds. Any input is appreciated.
(Yes, I have my Immodium, vitamins, soups and plans to stay active)

Re: Suboxone WD / Klonopin therapy
I did the same thing as you, same benzo too. My advice would be to cut it down to 2 mg's of bupe a day for a week before going to the benzo's, I was down to 1 mg a day for 2 weeks before I switched. But if you really wanna stop I would suggest 1 mg tops if you still have to go about your day like a normal person. However if you have 50 k-pins, make sure you don't get addicted to those instead, I doubt with 50 you could get an addiction serious enough to have serious benzo withdrawal, but why risk it.
Anyways, I'd taper off of the bupe even more, like I said, down to 2 mgs a day for a week, even down to 1 mg if possible, that way you won't need to use as many k-pins to keep you satisfied, thus decreasing the chances of forming a benzo habit.
But as for dosages, it all depends on the person as you probably know, but I was around your weight, 3 mg's made me forget everything that happened while I was on them, 2 mg's was a drunkish feeling, 1 mg was semi euphoric, kinda just relaxed me, not really a fun buzz feeling, kind of just like my mind is a blank, stuff goes in one ear and comes out the other, I didn't really have any emotional attachment to any that happened, just felt empty and void of everything ^^.
Anyways good luck and godspeed sir.
As an alternative you could MOLOTOV EVERYTHING, I heard this was once popular on totse...

Re: Suboxone WD / Klonopin therapy
Thanks for the advice.
I was banking on the whole 1 for breakfast, lunch and dinner deal - hoping that would do best.
Would 8mgs really be a rough time?

Re: Suboxone WD / Klonopin therapy
switching from an opiate dependence to a benzo dependence. hmm.
dude just ride it out. it has a half life of 37 hours which is long i guess but seriously an opiate wd is annoying a benzo wd is fuckin hell and can kill you.
just ride it out with sleep, vitamins, showers, exercise, pot, and MAYBE 1 k-pin but i dont suggest more than twice a week.

Re: Suboxone WD / Klonopin therapy
Well, I tapered off on doctor's watch. Started with 8 mg's a day broken into 4 mg's in the morning and at night. I am not big for my age so I guess I don't need nearly as much as others in my situation would have needed. Then I was put on subutex in the form of little gummies (that way I couldn't judge the dose, which was a key part of the new kind of treatment they were trying). Slowly the strength of the gummies would decrease, by probably .1 each new package I'm guessing. All in all it took two months before I was scheduled to come off subutex all together, whoever I then relapsed and started all over again, went to a treatment center, etc.
Anyways, I can't tell you for sure if it would be hard, did you start talking bupe to come off of a harder opiate? If you have gotten it to as low as 8 mg's a day, why not go even lower just to be safe, couldn't hurt. Maybe do 6 mg's for one week, then 4, then 2, see how low you can get it before the mental part makes you want to use more, then pop the benzos. I don't think you'd have much physical pain to worry about, if at all, and if you can get it to 2 mg's or lower then I think you'd be fine, aside from a desire to do some opiates.
I wouldn't, however, do 1 k-pin breakfast lunch and dinner, cause then you'll find yourself tapering off benzo's eventually, and then you'll be in the same situation, just a different drug. Rather, you should attempt to taper down the suboxone as low as you can, then stop using suboxone all together and take the benzo's only if needed. For example, say you go a day or so without suboxone, and on day two you feel kinda depressed, bored, all together unhappy, pop a k-pin. Try to only use the benzos when needed, instead of setting up a schedule. At some point it comes down to willpower and determination to be normal again without the drugs ^^.
Wait for some other replies to, I really only have this knowledge from my perspective so I can't judge how you might be different in this situation.

Re: Suboxone WD / Klonopin therapy
THC is right man, taper down to 2mgs before jumping ship. you'll be pretty hurtin going off 8mgs. lasts a bit longer than if you woulda tapered on dope and jumped ship. the k-pins woulda lasted for that...
tip: 2mgs klonopin, and 25mgs of DS [unisom 1, the nyquil drug] will knock you the fuck out, use it wisely.

I have no intention of "switching" addictions, so to speak.
I'm just trying to figure out what the LEAST amount of Klonopin I could take would be, and still get away with feeling semi-alright.
Everyone always seems to preach "exercise". Should I like, stay active DURING the detox? What are some things I could do that wouldn't hurt too much/keep my body active?

Re: Suboxone WD / Klonopin therapy
Use the bupe tapering methods already posted, and as for the Klonopin, regulate yourself to 1 mg PRN (as needed) for anxiety, with a limit of 3 pills a day. As in, if you have someone to help you out and who would do it for you, or if you have some self-restraint, line up 3 pills each day and put the rest away somewhere.
I'm sure 50 pills of Klonopin is enough for some slight withdrawals if they're used continuously in a short amount of time, but as long as you can keep in mind that feeling anxious about having to wash a sink full of dishes isn't a good reason to eat a Klonopin then you should be ok.
If, on the other hand, you find yourself reaching for a pill every time daily life isn't going your way, then you're better off tapering the bupe and forgetting about the Klonopin.

I'm not a big benzo fan - and frankly hate the whole "black out" experience that happens when I go over board. I never really used them to get high (I just used them in combination with heroin - never by themselves) so I should be alright.
I am having a very close friend hold and dispense the Klonopin to me. He's not an idiot, so it's not like he'll break down. 3mgs MAX a day is what I'll set, and tell him. Thanks.
My main goal with the Klonopin is just to dull down the shakes/shitty sleep pattern that WD's give me - so as of right now I am good to go.

Re: Suboxone WD / Klonopin therapy
My main goal with the Klonopin is just to dull down the shakes/shitty sleep pattern that WD's give me - so as of right now I am good to go.
And they're great for that purpose- there are a fairly decent number of psychiatrists who believe that moderate and controlled benzodiazepine therapy is greatly beneficial to certain patients recovering from opiate addiction.
Also, when I warned a bit about the dangers of using too much etcetera, I wasn't really alluding to a belief that you would abuse them-- benzodiazepine tolerance can (and often does) result from nothing more than a normal therapeutic regimen, such as the 3 mg a day I recommended you.
Basically, on some days, you probably will end up needing all three-- on others, you may only need one. Benzodiazepines definitely affect people differently as far as dosages are concerned, so if you're one of the fortunate people who can achieve a therapeutic benefit from 0.5 mg, feel free to break a pill in half here and there if you think it's enough to tide you over.
Ruling out the factor of abuse potential which you've said isn't an issue with you, your biggest risk with the Klonopin would be using the maximum 3 mg a day every single day. Giving your body a break here and there will greatly reduce the chance of you becoming dependent on the higher dosage.
