Precisely how many mg of kavalactones do you need to get a "kava experience"

I bought a bottle of 'extract' capsules, took 15 of them and didn't feel shit.

extract is not the way to go; get the powdered root. if you've already gotten the extract, take a lot preferably emulsified in something like milk or alcohol or something, idk.

... i don't know if you can really go wrong by taking a whole lot of kavalactones, except the extracts are also known to contain other parts of the plant besides the root, and you risk liver damage (seriously, look it up) if you're not ingesting pure root/root extract.

I've heard of people actually smoking the ground up root. Has anyone actually tried this? Seems to me that'd be foul as hell.

On a similar not, you guys know what is really nasty? Valerian Root tea. I got about 50 of the liquidcaps and squeezed each one into a cup of warm water. The smell was extremely disgusting and it somehow wafter through the house. Worthless.
