How would you make a gun completely untraceable? How would you go upon stripping out the barrel of a gun and grinding off the serial number? And also, is this enough? Help would be appreciated.

Well, if you legally bought a gun, then the serial number will be registered to your name, so filing it off wont do that much. They also dont necessarily need that number either, if they get the barrel, they can fire another round through it and compare the groves made by the rifling. Your best bet would be to melt the barrel down somehow.
