Default Homework drugs

hey, i was wondering what drugs you feel help you do homework and concentrate on it, i find that speed and weed will allow me to concetrate very hard and focus on the task at hand, while having alot more space for free thought in my brain, so my essays/assignments end up looking relly well thought out. I also find the comedown from psychadelics i can think very well on essays. Any thoughts?

Ritalin works pretty well but the best in my opinion is methadone or heroin. I haven't tried any of the weaker opiates so I can't say if they work.

I'm prescribed Ritalin and I only take it when I have to study or do a project I don't take it in the mornings cuz it makes me drowsy. I'm in college so I don't really get homework I get projects and reports to do and its insane how much I do when I'm on Ritalin. I have fun doing them too.

Aside from helping frantic housewives and fat hippies in the seventies, helping you do your homework is the reason pharmaceutical speed exists.

Speed = easily distracting I found, though I was pretty drunk and had nothing to do.

Benzydamine Hydrochloride can be good, its cheap shit green throat medicine, but it kinda clears/channels your thoughts. Unless your just talking about getting it done uber-quick, then just do some speed.

This.

Whenever i do amps for work or hoemwork related reasons it's all gravy until something else happens to catch my attention, then i spend the next few hours battling to direct my concentration on work instead of things that interest me or give me pleasure.

then of course i get horny and want to jackoff or get laid and when that happens i lose all willpower Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

goddamn dick..

Higher doses of speed/amps I find at times distracting, only because of the restlessness, but when using lower, therapeutic (or near therapeutic) doses, I get the typical benefits of focus and concentration without the cracked-out effects of higher doses. Albeit you (probably) can't get high at doses within the therapeutic range - a reasonable range, for all you people with crooked docs -- I find that the intended effects are still rather prevalent. There's plenty of times I don't think I'm "feeling it", and meanwhile I've vacuumed the entire first and second floors of my house, done two loads of laundry, ran the dishwasher and paid off three overdue bills that had been sitting in a pile of junk for a month.

Well this moring at 8 am i woke my lazy ass up for school and snorted half of a xanax bar
i went to school and finished about 20 pages in an hour.
I usually finish like 5 or 6 in an hour..

i think i was able to do so much work because im usually really jittery when im sober but the xanax made me just chill out and focus.

Good nutrition, rest/sleep, hydration, excercise, etc, are generally best for any measure of human performance. You can try to take supplemental measures to combat a deficiency in these areas, but the fact is you're still somewhat working against yourself if you're denying yourself the necessities that should always come first and foremost if concerned with performance.

There are other things that can help, though they're best when you already have the above working for you.

Smart drugs, or Nootropics, along with nutritional supplements to maintain or heighten levels of various non-essential (but useful) biomolecules (ie: various nutritional suplpements such as Taurine, GABA, or some source of choline, choline being the chief neurotransmitter in 'intelligence' or signal integrity between neurons), would likely be the best and least damaging way.

I'm not saying Adderall is 'bad', but relying on it for performance in routine things like homework and stuff just seems like a bad idea, as far as the long term is concerned. While Nootropics and other nutritional supplements claiming to improve brain functioning are generally quite subtle, some are unnoticeable, but some nootropics/nutritional supplements strike me as a bit better for maintaining academic performance in the longer term than speed.

Piracetam is a good starting point, also get some choline in there, Alpha GPC Choline is best, but it's expensive... a combination of Lecithin and Choline Bitartarate is much cheaper and a decent compromise. ALCAR, or acetyl-l-carnitine, is another favorite. I find it improves motivation and energy and clarity, and it's something I plan to take forever (good in an anti-aging regimen, maintains and revitalizes cellular mitochondria, including those within our neurons). If you're taking a large amount of ALCAR (2 or more grams, which I recommend) you should also take a powerful antioxidant like Na-RALA, or just RALA (r-alpha-lipoic acid), because ALCAR in higher doses can increase oxidative stress, but if you take some form of alpha lipoic acid there seems to be nothing to worry about (they actually are quite synergistic or beneficial if taken together). Those are my favorites right now, those four supplements have become something of a mainstay, that I can't ever see dropping in the near future.

There are a whole bunch of other smart drugs such as Vinpocetine, Hydergine, Huperazine A, Galantamine, Centrophenoxine, Idebenone, and a bunch of others. Of those, all I can say is Vinpocetine is good for a mental boost of clarity, but it seems using it long term might be counter productive to intelligence in the long term (as various stimulants are). Hydergine doesn't seem to do much at all on it's own, for me, but taking it with piracetam is syngergistic. Centrophenoxine is quite good, and synergistic with piracetam. It's also a good source of choline, being a good second to Alpha GPC choline (it's a bit cheaper and has somewhat comparable results as far as quality goes). The rest sound interesting to me, but I havent gotten around to trying them.

As far as nutritional supplements go, I hear a good regimen for maintaining brain health/function is as follows:

250 - 1000 mg of ALCAR (I take 2000mg, split into two doses daily, taken along with some form of alpha lipoic acid.)
200 - 300 mg of Phosphatidyl serine
500 - 1,500 mg of GABA
1,000 mg of Taurine
and as a daily regimes of base nutrients
B-Complex 50 mg
Vitamin C 1,000 mg
Vitamin E 400 mg
Magnesium 400 mg
Zinc 25 mg
Selenium 200 mcg
Boron 3 mg
300 mg of EPA
300 mg of DHA (both essential fatty acids)

None of this will necessarily make you smarter, but it'll make sure your brain has mostly everything it needs in order to continue to work well long term. These are also things our brains begin to lack more and more as we age. Therefore, it's also a very good anti-aging regimen. A person worried about mental decline due to age could employ such a daily regimen to stay near the top of their game.

I've started on such a regimen and I'm only 20. I suppose it's kind of a proactive approach, as I haven't noticed much or any age related decline. Still, it's something I'd like to avoid, and many of these things are things our body is quite able of making (beneficial) use of (or at least it seems to me) and that our bodies are sometimes insufficient in producing. Especially as we age.

If you don't have enough maturity to do a little bit of homework then you don't need to be using drugs period.

Technically I don't 'sound' like anything, since it's all text.

It's actually a pretty thoughtful post. Not trying to have inflated self importance or anything, but I've been researching the topic for a while, and it's at least moderately informed. It's a cumbersome subject to learn if you're not already knowledgeable in it, as many things are. Some people (like me) actually realize that we age, though. And that our modern diets aren't giving us everything that we need for optimal nutrition or whatever. Also, some things our body produces less of as we age, and thus supplementation actually combats various facets of the aging process. My post was more concerned with brain functioning. That which keeps our brains from aging, keeps our brains functioning well...

I actually split it into 3 doses throughout the day. It's not bad, and the benefits in energy and motivation and mental clarity are more than worth swallowing a small handful of pills a few times a day.

Im too fucking distractive to do homework on weed, and too fuckin neurotic to try amps. the best thing I can do is smoke a cigarette or some pipe tobacco, and have some cold beer for refreshment. This is only to keep me calm and away from smashing up things and knocking my homework to the floor like I always do.

I always used Meth, or Adderall. Note about the Meth, it used to leave me fucked over the next day in school.
