Hash from whole plants
Ok so I know a guy who planted some random seeds in late June. I know, stupid move right? A few have matured enough to be picked, there are about 8 that are budding all over, but they're not getting any bigger. I told him I would be able to make some hash out of them, and he didn't believe me. What would you guys suggest I do with a good amount of immature buds, and a shit ton of leaves?

This man is right, go for bubble bags.
Or just stick it all into half a gallon's worth of olive oil, and can it.
Shit, you could make green dragon, and then make Jello Shots with it.
The possibilities are endless!

Re: Hash from whole plants
Leave them alone if there still imature.. They should be okay for a few weeks. I doubt they'll finish but might as well give it a shot.

Re: Hash from whole plants
Leave them out as long as possible and let the buds mature as much as the light hours/weather will allow then pull the whole plants down and use bubble bags.

Re: Hash from whole plants
Just because it's not growing (in size) anymore, doesn't mean the buds aren't growing (in potency). They're immature, and picking an immature plant will not only produce shit buds, but the plant itself won't have as much potential resins on it either.
Wait until the white hairs turn red, orange or brown, and the false seed pods (unless they turned out to be herms) swell with resins. When most of the pistils have turned color, they're ready to harvest.
And yes, when the plant is harvested, not only can you get good, mature buds, but you'll also be able to make any number of hashes or extractions from the left over plant material.
Hash oil, iso hash, kief extractions, cannabudder..lots of possibilities.

Re: Hash from whole plants
Ok I should have explained a little more. They are planted it a semi-sketchy area. There are a shit ton of other weeds and underbrush around the plants, but those are starting to die too, revealing the plants for all to see. We are going to let them mature as much as possible, but we are both at college now, and the plants are a 20 minute drive back to the other side of the city. We are also worrying about that first frost, but I don't think its coming for a little while still. He already picked one plant that matured much faster than the rest and it turned out pretty good. These others have been sitting dormant for a week or 2 now and my friend is getting a little sketched out because of the location and several factors.
In regards to bubble bags, how easy/difficult are they to make and use? Buying them is kinda expensive, no?

The leaves do not produce THC straigt away and any it does will be so minimal it aint worth shit. Also planting outside now your not going to get anything from it, too late in the year. Either keep it inside or you might as well bin it/give it away.

Re: Hash from whole plants
http://www.bubblebag.com/
I don't know HOW the hell someone could think butane is more expensive than a bubble bag kit, but oh well..
There ya go. Beware of imitators :)
Quality product, original and best of it's kind. Keep in mind the price -- if you only have a couple plants that you plan on turning into bubblehash, it's not really economical to buy the bags. Unless, of course, you plan to keep using them for years to come. Generally, though, for large yields, people use buds in combination with the plant material. If you just use the plant trimmings, you're really not going to get a very large amount. A lot of work for a little bit of product. There are simpler, cheaper ways of making different kinds of hash.
Bubblehash ftw.

Re: Hash from whole plants
You can still do a iso run after the bubble hash to make some oil as well. In fact I would recommend that just to make sure you get the most out of what you got, butane isn't cheap just use common sense and read up a bit before you go doing it.
