In your opinion, would it be a bad idea to consume the daime outside of a shamanic setting? From what I understand the shaman plays a great role in guiding those into a positive trip. I want to show some respect for such a powerful entheogen. I'm planning on visiting the gods with a few close friends in a safe environment in a few months. We have all experienced hallucinogens in one form or another (not that it matters much, DMT is in a league of its own).

And if you feel like sharing an experience that you've had with ayahuasca, I would be most appreciative (but yes, I've read every report on erowid).

I know a few people who have taken it at home with a few people around or alone and have had a nice trip, but remember you will puke so have a bucket or something in the room with you so you dont have to run to the bathroom. I still want to brew up a batch when I get some money I think I might or just get MHRB and do a DMT extraction, a friend of mine did the Lazy Mans extraction and ReCrystalized after the extraction 2 or 3 times and ended up with pure ass product but I never got to sample it.

If after this experience I'm not completely repulsed by the thought of ever taking DMT again, I'll order a 1/2lb of MHRB and do an A/B extraction. I've noticed that stores dont sell red devil lye anymore, should I be worried about buying some other lye brand of unknown purity?

In the extraction phase you need to shred the MHRB bark into small pieces. My process was with a hammer, scissors, blender, coffee grinder. Very grueling and time consuming process! Any devices that can speed up the process? EG: Woodchippers etc? Have you guys used anything else?

Couldn't you let it soak in some water to help soften it up?

And I've heard that hammering it when frozen works wonders.

I have no idea. Using the liquid to make hoasca seems plausible, but I very seriously doubt that drying and smoking it could yield any effects.

Hmm. Its interesting. Im doing some research as we speak. The bad news for phalaris is that it contains bufotenine. Some effects reported have been sweating, nausea, yellowed vision, and perception of colored spots. So it appears that bufotenine is a nasty drug to be avoided. It tends to induce panic, it also appears to have the potential for a fatal overdose!

Also:

"Studies show that controlled injections of pure DMT, at human recreational doses, kill sheep. Why sheep and humans respond differently to DMT is still an open question here. It may be that it is not an important question, but the possibility of human death on phalaris still looms."

Is that the same thing as African zebra grass? I used to grow the stuff--it is easy --and just dry and smoke it in joints with pot.

phalaris grass... is that the stuff that grows EVERYWHERE, along roads and such, and it's the stalk with the puffy tailtop that farmers stick in their mouth all the time while wearing coveralls? that contains DMT????

is there any other similar species that i could be confusing with it???

^If I'm not mistaken, Phalaris is the Genus so there could be any number of different species, which as you can guess could contain different amounts (if any) of DMT.
