What insects have you eaten? What with? How did it go down?

Things you would find on a street stand in China.

I have tried witchity grubs before as well as scorpion.

The witchity grubs are an Australian grub that eventualy turn in to moths and live in the bark of trees. They are very soft, I wasn't game to eat them raw until I had eaten one cooked. Taste like peanut butter, better cooked.

The scorpion is more meaty than I expected. For it's size at least. Sort of like fish crossed with Brasil nut. Wasn't what I thought it would be like at all. Nice to try but not more than once for me.

So what crawly things has &T had the pleasure or regret of eating? I have seen people get right in to insects, adding them to cakes and such.

The only thing that I've eaten that'd qualify as an insect would be a worm.

Grasshoppers, crickets, mealworms, bees, beetles, waspnest grubs.

All cooked or dried. Kinda gross the crunchyparts. grubs and mealworms were good with chilies. Bee's were made into a great tasting tea. It was suprisingly good. Came in packs from an orentintental store.

I wanna try some giant spider some day.

I ate a scorpion inside of a lollipop. Didn't take.

Tequila worm. Deep fried cricket. Chocolate covered grasshopper.

Never eaten any bugs, but I don't think I'd be against it if it was offered.

shrimp is pretty much a swimming bug

I ate a spider once. It was crawling on a friends car. The roof to be exact. About the size of a U.S. Penny. Tasted like lemon and made my tongue numb for about a minute.

Dragon fly (or something similar), while it was still alive.
Shit was pretty tasteless, although crunchy and then gooey.
