So I tried IV for the first time today. I took some cotton and wet it and pushed it to the bottom of a syringe. I dissolved about 10mg and soaked it up with more cotton and pushed it in on top of the other cotton. I filtered it into a new spoon and ran about five units of water through to get as much out as I could. Loaded it into a new rig and shot into my arm.

I felt a nice little rush, but it didn't last very long. I usually get a decent buzz from about 60mg...should I have tried more? Is there a more efficient way of filtering it? Did I do anything wrong? I was reading and it is said to use 2 units/mg. That seems like a lot! I would have had to fill the entire syringe for a silly 10mg...is this correct?

a wheel filter would work better than just a piece of cotton...

I don't have a wheel filter. I was working with what I have. It seemed at least a little bit better than just drawing it through a piece of cotton in the spoon....which seems kind of common.

Edit: Oh, and now I understand the units. I was confused. I though ten units was one unit. Silly me

I'm about to go get another blue 30 and try the whole thing and see how it turns out. Any advice would be appreciated.

try the internet or a needle exchange if there is one around... i doubt a pharmacy would have them, most of what they give needles out for is insulin...

well congradulations at figuring out the grass isn't always greener on the other side. kudos for being conservative, and double kudos for the research, yes its 2 units per mg..

which means, the half cc syringes will yeild you at most a 25mg shot. i'd say aim for 20mgs. its quite a good spot. you sound opiod tolerant as is. are you using IR oxy? or extended?


also, if your looking to learn technique its best to practice with water, rather than drugs, so you don't waste anything [and cause minimal damage]. by the way, buy some distilled water..



also, wheel filters can be bought online, some needle exchanges do however offer them but rarely if ever for free. you can snag em off the net however, just use some common sense. your not going to find them in a pharmacy.

I'd say just some general advice I've heard , if you've never IV'd something before start with a bout 50% or less of your usual dosage.
