When new computers are taken back broken to major stores and exchanged the company will usually repair the said computer and advertise it as a refurb, then knock £50-£100 off the price, either that or they'll sell it on to specialised refurb companies for a dirt cheap price. There are a lot of refurb companies in central Europe that ONLY sell refurbished equipment. I saw a 40" HD Sony Bravia LCD for about €250 the other week in Barca.
Yes, when selling a refurb you legally have to advertise it as a refurb.
No, you will not make that much per week doing this.
Also "buying out" and reselling the cheapest 'computer stuff' on ebay? Firstly this just proves you're an idiot. Nine times out of ten the same seller will post another of the same product for the same price the very hour that you buy it. No one will re-buy the said product.
I hate to put down another business idea in MMM (I don't, you're an idiot) but you don't understand that most businesses run at a loss for months on end, it's extremely rare for a business to hit profit straight away, and, as grusomhat said, your niche is being raped to death as it is by people who have been doing it for years.
Fact is:
You sell pc for $400. Offer refurbished product only, a worthless guarantee.
Major company sells pc for $300, offer new product, support, year long guarantee.
When a customer phones you up and says (in slightly different words)"I'm a fucking idiot and I've broken my computer, but YOU made it so YOU fix it for free or I'll go to the trading authorities." You will then have to spend time (time = money) and resources (resources = money) fixing and shipping (shipping = money) this product.
Any problem can occur when you are running your own business, so until you research your market and are convinced that you will succeed in something, keep working for those 'faggot bosses' that put food on your table.
