One of the best. Of the 00s. I want to see if the show takes a total nosedive in it's upcoming years (probably will) before i can say anything.

"ZOMG he's so meen!!" One of the most insipid, overrated shows of the past five years. By far the most ridiculous and unrealistic medical show ever, this steaming pile of shit almost makes me misty eyed for the days of crap doc dramas like E.R and chicago hope.

I'd have liked to have been in the writers room for the fourth season: "Well guys, we've been writing the same episode over and over with different made up diseases, cures, and tests for three years, and we have no ability to write anything for our boring, go-nowhere characters. Any ideas?"

"Why don't we introduce an entirely new supporting cast?"

"Sure, who cares?"

ehh, i watched a few episodes when it first came out. wasnt too impressed.

I'm with ganja. How the fuck can people bear watching more than like two episodes of this predicable, formulaic garbage.

-Dramatic injury/illness scene
-House is a total cunt for like 15 minutes then gets involved
-Fucking ridiculous bullshit testing and brainstorming on obscure ass diseases that nobody would ever be able to diagnose like they do
-House does some stupid bullshit that doesn't make sense and cures the patient

My favorite tv shows are

sopranos
the wire
& the west wing..
no particular order,

But I quite like house to.. I know its terribly formulaic, which the above mentioned certainly aren't, but still I like the character and the series. Of course I like the episodes best that divers from that formula, but still in my opinion its a decent show.. Indeed season 4 started with a tumble, but I like how they ended it.. Killing of Amber wasn't necessary but it was time they killed of someone we know..

But no... it isn't the greatest show ever.. Watch any of the 4 shows I mentioned from start to finish and you'll agree..

I made the mistake of starting to watch House and The Sopranos last week, the latter completely overshadows the former. And House is downloading faster so I now just watch it to fill the gap, basically. I used to like watching random episodes of house that were on but I'd never gotten very into it.

House went to shit after the second season. I don't watch it anymore. It's so gimmicky and cheesy now.

Yeah, pretty much, it was good for a while, then you start to realize it's pretty much the same thing, with the same twists, and House is always right in the end. I stopped watching when the ponytail chick got taken off it.

As far as this show goes, Hugh Laurie > Everything else. I guess I get too caught up in him to really care so much about the show's other flaws.
