Quarantine Movie
So how badly do you think they're going to screw up this remake of REC?

Remake? I thought it was just a dub...
edit: What the hell, it is a remake? Wasn't it just made like last year? What...
Damn that's pretty pathetic... it's going to be annoying hearing people talk about it while being completely oblivious to the better original.

Re: Quarantine Movie
Looks awful... I like how in the preview they show the last 5 seconds of the movie! REC was great, though.

Re: Quarantine Movie
America's hate for foreign movies knows no bounds.
I guess it would be a cheap and simple remake; it's a cam movie all set in one building. They'd make more money this way too.

Re: Quarantine Movie
It cracks me the fuck up how arrogant us Americans are, we'd rather remake a movie with shitty writing and actors than read subtitles.

Re: Quarantine Movie
i saw the commercial and i was in a state of shock, i was thinking " is the girl from dexter in a remake of REC?" and now it is true, wow.......honestly it would have been better to just put out a version with subtitles, or English overdubbing

Re: Quarantine Movie
I'm torn on foreign movie remakes (and remakes in general). While they are usually a fuck up of the original, they also serve to bring the originals to the forefront. Hopefully bringing in more fans for them. Not to mention sharing the wealth so hopefully the film makers of the original titles will be able to produce even more movies. Or at the very least showcase their skills so they can keep working.
So here's to hoping Quarantine will do it justice, but I'm not holding my breath.

Re: Quarantine Movie
It's going to suck balls, I'm downloading a "BD" rip of [REC] right now. I already have it, but it's Standard quality, and a bit fuzzy.
