So, I was at homecoming with my date, and it was going well, we were having fun, and then it came time to slow dance. I looked her in the eye, held out my hand, and asked her to dance. She said yes, and we got really close, she put her head on my chest, pressed up against me, and we started to sway back and forth to the music. It was very, very pleasing.

Until I started to notice the distance that she had to reach up to keep her arms around my neck. I noticed she was on her tip toes just to be close to me, and I felt guilty that she had to do that. I tried not to think much of it at the time, so I put it in the back of my mind and paid attention to the dance.

So, what should I do next time this situation arises? Any help would be appreciated.

I should also point out that she's over a foot shorter than me, so you can understand the problem.

yeah, pretty much that's an issue that she has to deal with.

As a short guy, I have issues with women who are taller than me, and usually I just try and adapt to the situation as best I can and hope no one mentions it, or at least makes a deal out of it.

When I had to slow dance (I hate slow dancing) a few times (weddings, when asked, etc.) by really short girls (I'm average height, 6'0" but they were like 5'2"), they just put their arms around my waist or wherever they are comfortable.

There's no real standard to slow dancing, you do what's comfortable.
