Hurricane Ike's leftover storms took it out last Sunday, and I had no power all week up until today. Holy shit I never want to live like that again.

Yup, I had my power off. It was only 2 days though, and even those 2 days sucked balls. I bet power is just heavenly right now, eh?

It effected a lot of people in Ohio, kentucky etc etc. I know Ohio declared a state of emergency over it.

I loveeeee when the power goes out. Gives me time to get shit done that actually matters. And it's cool trying to come up with new shit to do. And you can break into most places when the power's out.

I wonder if gas stations etc. have enough backup power sources to keep running. I imagine that would just make matters all the worse if everyone started running out of fuel while the entire city's still blacked out.

Gas stations were fucking insane....people lined up blocks and blocks back to get gas. The gas stations that were running ran out of gas pretty quick, you couldn't get any fucking batteries anywhere, fuckers were price gauging on gas, you'd have to travel hours and hours and hours way out of state to even think about finding a generator. It was pretty shitty.

Things like major gas stations, hospitals and banks have a shitload of backup power for shit like this, at least I would imagine.

Man Ike fucked my shit up, just north of Columbus. 4 different entire trees down on lines, a mess of branches, siding ripped of house. It was like a small tornado was going through for a good few hours. My power only went out for like 2 days though.

I guess I'm a lucky bastard in that I wasn't affected. I was expecting lots of rain and lightning but just got a shit load of wind though.

I had the power go out here last week. For about 3 hours.

I went fuckin' crazy. I was in the middle of a contract on Mercenaries 2 and had my stereo playing music. Everything just died. My first thought was "Fuck did I pay the bill?" about 5 minutes later I got a call from a friend a few blocks away asking to go do something since their power was turned off since they didn't pay their bill (broke people in a cheap area, ain't surprising that we can't remember if we paid the power bill since it gets turned off regularly) . Well I said fuck and went to make a beer run, and the fuckin' store was closed. Then I realized we had a power outage. 3 whole fucking hours. No beer, no PS2, no internet, I about died. Fuck that man.... I woulda died if I had to go that long.

I went to buy something like 20 miles away from my apt. and every gas station on the way back was packed. At like 11PM.
