i just put my colors in and realized the shorts i was wearing had my piece. it's pretty thick so i'm not too worried about it breaking, my question is; should i clean it out before using it again due to the detergent?

Can it hurt to rinse it off? That'll take all of 30 seconds...
Oh, and if it's in there right now, Id stop it now before the spin dry cycle, that'd probably be when it'd break.

if the detergent water soaks into the old resin, a simple rinse probably wouldn't help. but yes you're right, i'm so starved for attention.

i don't think the spin cycle will be too bad, it keeps the clothes pressed to the walls of the machine. i would have opened it awhile ago if i could, these machines lock.

the pipe is fine, i don't even feel i need to rinse it. all of my colors have a faint resin odor!! =(
i threw them into the dryer with the whites in hopes of taking care of that.

I'd be more worried about all your clothes smelling like stale old resin if you leave it in there.
