When I smoke weed it actually helps me focus (to a certain extent), I mentioned this to my ADD/Psychologist guy and he said it was due to the release of Dopamine which is something people ADD like because it provides them with an increased focus...Obviously I can only focus on certain aspects when I smoke, but it generally tends to be analysis and abstract thought.

For instance, yesterday I was writing a paper, took me a very long time because I couldn't stay on task and I didn't finish. Went out got really high came back to my dorm and started writing like crazy, started at 2:30 am and finished at 5 am. I looked it over this morning and comparitvely it's excellent, I think what I wrote when I was high was the best part of my paper.

Anyway, so since I have ADD I'm on concerta, I've only taken it once because I just switched to it from focalin...So do you think that if I smoke with concerta I will increase my writing abilities more or less?

This is all very inexact and relatively subjective but if anyone knows anything about how ADD medicine and weed interact I would appreciate it.

If your goal is just to write like crazy then go for it. Weed personally makes me hyper focus on things. As does Methylphenidate, I'm sure they will compliment each other nicely.

Just don't fuck up the dosage of the pills, which I'm sure you won't, in order to avoid the nasty side effects.

Hell yes. Alcohol + Concerta + Weed = Writing God... for me anyway.

I'm going to avoid alcohol, I can't think properly when I drink...But weed/concerta should help I suppose

I used to take concerta every day for years, and smoked every day with it. I find that really, for one the concerta overpowers the weed by far and you won't be high for long. But yeah, it helps to focus a bit.

I was on Adderall when I was about 17 and I found that Pot helped me focus even more as well. The only problem was the feeling of being crosswired...which makes sense because Adderall is an upper and pot is obviously a downer. It wasn't something I was a big fan of doing but I did implement it when I had alot of extra homework. I only wish I had it around my sophmore and junior years. Senior year was a cake walk.
