Sausages + barbecue
Whats your favourite type of sausage to grill. I was thinking of trying something new. We usually just jave regular hot dogs or Schneiders Grill'ems. Any suggestions?

Re: Sausages + barbecue
I've never encountered an edible sausage. Too salty, half of it is made up of fat, the rest is unspeakable animal parts.

Bratwurst for the win. Topped with onions, relish, and dijon mustard. Oh I'm so hungry right now!

Re: Sausages + barbecue
i had an awesome sausage the other day that was barbecued , i think it was chicken based but with jalapeno and mango . However i think it might have been a brand unique to the austin, TX area.

Re: Sausages + barbecue
Go to a deli and ask them what sorts of sausage they recommend. There's often a variety that's worth trying out.

Re: Sausages + barbecue
We can get a lot of damn good sausages for free. A sausage-manufacturing farmer family may not seem like the best contacts, but it sure pays off when you're hungry. Pork and apple and chilli beef are two of the nicest ones; obviously the chances of you going to the same farm are pretty much nil seeing as it's in the UK, but if you can find those varieties (neither are too uncommon here) then they're damn good.
Cheap hot dogs aren't exactly the cream of the crop. They're delicious at times and I do love 'em, but if you want something genuinely tasty then go to a butcher or deli and get something that isn't made of pig eyelids and newspaper mulch.

Re: Sausages + barbecue
I've always liked caribou sausages and moose sausages. They're kind of gamey, but I like 'em a lot. after that, I'd say I like spicy Italian or Brats with Sauerkraut best. Just had those last night, actually .
