H and your voice?
Why is it that when you either shoot or even snort, H changes your voice to the point where it's noticable? I'm gonna be around a friend (a much older friend that used to do lots and lots of it back in the 60s and 70s), and I can't have him know that I'm on it. And yet, whenever I do it in any form it changes my voice and that's how he can tell; he called me on it last time I saw him high. How can I prevent this? Does this happen to anyone else?

No no, not like that. I can operate perfectly fine, in speech and coordination; perhaps better. It's the tone of my voice that gets really really fucked up and it gives me away every time. It's a real pain in the ass, a few people have brought it up to me actually...

i think the tone of voice was just one peice in him figuring out you were high. those who have a history of using dope can spot someone out on it pretty damn easily...
your tone of voice change can be traced back to your change in perception, and the fact your high and don't really give a fuck [and stop lying to yourself and thinking you may].
the pinpoint eyes are a give away too bud...

I don't really get too high at any one point...actually when he called me on it the first time I had for the most part come down. Sure, there are other things that could give me away when I get too high (pinned eyes, insane sweating, nodding etc) but when I'm going out socially I never do more than a half of a cap (or bag whatever it is where you are). They always bring up the voice, and the tone of it.

the only way i can think of it changing the tone of voice is the added illusion blending apathy and confidence betrayed through your speech, if you can even speak when you're high I know I barely can.
ive never known it to change voice tone or anything maybe youre just imagining it.

Well, it'd be everyone but me that's imagining it. If I get too high, and shoot a lot of dope sure I'll be really fucked up, constantly nodding etc and of course there's no way you can't know...I'm not talking about that.

This happens to me as well. It has to do with your throat getting dry. It sucks the worst because I'm a singer, and my voice will get raspy and sometimes cut completely out during a song. Think Kurt Cobain, haha. I tend to drink about a gallon of water or more to counteract it. It's led to some embarassing and unexplainable things like my voice cutting out randomly when talking to my friend's parents.

Opiates make my voice fucked up too. I can notice it and my buddies do too. It makes it lower-ish and raspier.

One of the things that gives away people the most when their on drugs is not the way the move/groove but the way they talk.
Just don't talk and you'll be alright, or you could just do it anyway and not care/tell them to stfu and all is still golden.

He's a business partner. I plan on doing some more tomorrow (I've got quite a bit, but I try and keep it at a healthy level so I don't get hooked...once every week or 2), I'm really fucking high rightn ow and I really can't tell, so I donno. But I can't afford to lose him as a friend and business partner, that would destroy all my money and I would have a very hard time making any. I guess I'll just have to drink plenty of water etc. He's pretty understanding when it comes to drugs, we do blow and smoke weed all the time, but he told me if I kept fuckin with herron he'd 'disappear'.

Make sure you're not high when you associate with him, heroin is meant for alone-time.

While on opiates, my voice gets hella raspy and it feels like I'm straining to talk...I get really out of breath easily too....My first time on oxy like, 5 years ago, i ate and snorted like 30mg of oxy and my mom knew right away....she said it was because of my voice
