Hair
Quick question, something I've wondered about for a while. I have two types of hair on my head, over my temples (that general area) the hair is soft, fluffy and quite thin. They also get tangled and fall out easily and are a quite noticeably different texture. There is some history of premature balding in my mom's family, and I'm wondering if I'm next in line, or if this is just a normal thing I haven't heard about. I'm 17.

I only remember having it for the past 1 or 2 years not 100% sure on that though. Before then I always sported a buzzcut too, so its hard to remember.

Re: Hair
If the texture changed recently then it could be miniaturization, where the hair shafts get thinner over time before falling out. Normally i think that texture is the same everywhere on the head. Also even with a history of premature balding 17 seems very early.

According to something I've read awhile back, male pattern baldness comes down your moms side. So if I were you, I would plan on going bald. I had a friend who had a receding hair line at 15, so I don't think you're ever too young after puberty. Sorry dude.
