Hey bltc, i've smoked a few times with mates and shit but I'm looking to buy my own. Only problem is I have no idea how much different weights look like, how will I know if I'm getting ripped off. Any general tips? Probably just getting a stick or an eighth if that helps.

Aye. Not sure whereabouts in Australia you are, but down here in Adelaide we've got stores called 'Happy High Herbs' and 'Off Ya Tree' both of which have many weed related products and legal highs. Look for such a store in your area, and check them out. They'll have what you need. I paid $32 for some mini-scales, and they're pretty good. You wouldn't want to be weighing huge quantities, but I've weighed ounces with no problems whatsoever.

If you plan on buying weed on a regular basis, it's well worth spending the money. You can spend more money on scales that are more accurate, and precise, but from my experience, it's not necessary. I don't deal though, you'd definitely want something a bit more professional if you plan on selling.

As for actual prices, varies on location, and who you know. I usually pay $20-$25 for 3.5 grams, and $150-$190 for an ounce. I certainly don't mean to gloat, as I'm sure many, many, people are able to buy more cheaply than myself. But, those prices have been fairly consistent. So, yeah. Give or take on that.

Just buy a stick. It's only 25 bucks worth and if you get ripped off someone will undoubtedly let you know and you'll know not to go back to your coon dealer.

They are retarded good prices. I never pay more than 300 for an ounce, but I know people who pay up to 360. And 25 dollars worth is like a 1.5 grams at best.

No... Seriously, that's expensive. Everyone I talk to around here now thinks I'm stupid for spending that much. The dank shit costs like $40-50 an 8th. I guess it's just my dealer and her liking me or something.... Most of my friends pick up 8ths of similar quality for $10 or lower depending who the know.
