So There's This Chick
Perhaps this is a common scenario.
Anyways, there's this chick that I've been close friends with for about a year and a half. Now I like her, obviously, but I don't think she realizes that. Unfortunately she likes some guy that I know a little, and I'm not jealous of him...but what the fuck do I do to make her recognize me without just making our friendship awkward? And no, I can't fight him.

Your best bet is just to be a genuine friend. I think you missed the bell man, sounds like you've been a longtime resident in the friend zone.
Oh and fighting him is the best way to end your relationship with her in an assholeish, immature way. So, your right to void that one.

Get as far away from her as possible.

Re: So There's This Chick
Start giving that repressed sexual energy some light around her. Unless you really don't want to risk your friendship.

Re: So There's This Chick
sure fire way for her to get interested:
1. leave without saying goodbyes.
2. return 6-12 months later with a girlfriend and start macking on her (not infront of said girlfriend).
3. ???
4. profit.
i wouldn't recommend this though. for one, you'd basically be using your "girlfriend" as a pawn in your little sherade. 2nd, this shit comes back to you faster and harder than you can imagine, usually in the form of utter regret and shame at the way you treat people.

Re: So There's This Chick
I just asked a girl to homecoming knowing a kid I'm kind of friends with was planning on doing the same thing. She said yes, and then I found out that he's been in love with her for like a year and HC was going to be how he planned on starting things with them. I'm really feelin' her, though, and I am definitely closer to her league in terms of personality/looks/popularity (this is highschool remember). It makes me feel kind of bad reading your post, seeing the other side of things. I would move on if I were you, its just a waste of time. You can still stay friends with her though and keep your option open just in case.

Re: So There's This Chick
Something people usually forget when their in your position is, this girl may like this guy right now, but crush's come and go. You could either take your chance right now and show yourself for who you are or, you can stay as her friend until this crush runs its course.

Re: So There's This Chick
I was in the same scenario, except the chick liked me and not the other guy. I stayed friends WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to long, so not really sure how it worked out.

Re: So There's This Chick
Damn. I guess I'll just wait it out, which is fine, because homecoming is in February and I plan on asking her.
