Mycobags, i think you've failed me. sterilized jars?
Well it's been like, 3 weeks, and so far i see ALMOST no growth, if any. AND it's starting to smell pretty bad, when i squeeze/smell it.
I don't know what i did wrong, it could've been fluctuated temperatures, it could've been because i didn't do it in to well of a sterilized environment, it could've been because i only injected about 2 milliliters from the spore syringe, and it could've been from not shaking the syringe well enough before injecting, it could've also been from a bad myco-bag/spore syringe.
so basically, FUCK mycobags, anyone know where i can order pre-sterilized JARS?
I'm gonna do a god damn PF Tek if i have to, but GOD DAMMIT.... I NEED SOME FUCKING MUSHROOMS!!!!!!!!
I need a fucking trip before i lose my god damn mind.

It could also have been, and indeed likely was, all of the above. It's not the mycobags' fault, it's yours. If you can't succeed with mycobags PF will be nearly impossible for you.

you could sterilize your own god damn jars...
a pressure cooker really isnt entirely needed... you put them in a large pot filled with boiling water long enough and i doubt anything would survive but a pressure cooker will still be more reliable..

Have you done this yourself for bulk grows? I know it's sufficient for PF but what about larger jars?

nah, just speaking from knowing that if you heat something up to temperatures high enough for life not to happen for anything that will fuck your grow up, its sterilized...
in my state you cant get mail order shroom spores....
if i ever grow it will have to be off of homemade spore prints...

My ghetto version, was simply a wet piece of bread inside a mason jar. I put some butcher's paper over the top with a rubber band, nuked it for 10 - 15 minutes. Instead of punching holes in the paper, I just lifted up the edge of the paper, and shot the spores in through there. Sure, it doesnt have quite the yield of the whole grain method, but it surpassed the PF-Tek BRF my a slight margin (Explainable by environmental methods).
And nshanin, larger jars arent nesecarily better. You have to wait longer for the entire jar to be colonized, and in that time, more food and water is used. They on.y make things more complicated and the cakes also break easier (leading to certain contamination). I suggest just going to walmart and getting STRAIGHT WALLED pint jars.
Edit: For your sake, Id use popcorn as a substrate, it's foolproof, very easy to get the proper amount of water, and is one of the fastest colonizing substrates ive seen.

Buy a pressure cooker?
I mean, you'll get your money back in mushrooms really.

Re: Mycobags, i think you've failed me. sterilized jars?
What substrate (or spawn, if you are doing bulk) were in the bags? and how much?
It wasn't the bag's fault, it was yours. The environment wasnt sterile, temps fluctuated, you only injected 2cc, didn't shake the syringe, and probably didn't flame sterilize the needle then wiped it with a alchy swab. You fucked up. =P
I use 10-12cc per 4lbs of spawn (WBS), incubated at 82F. In very sterile conditions of course, that is most important. But since you neglected to follow simple instructions easily acquired online, you faced the consequences. Growing is about patience, take your time and quite doing this so half-assed.
But since you took the initiative to actually take a swing at growing ill help you out. http://www.mycopath.com/ sells quality pre-pasteurized/ sterilized substrate/ spawn, and the owner is really nice. I use them when Im too lazy to go out and get hpoo. Pasteurizing and sterilizing is a pain in the ass.

No, it's because you tried to grow shrooms on processed bread. Not "environmental methods". None of those pixs are yours either. You haven't even grown shrooms before GTFO.

Processed bread has less nutrients than BRF, and per weight of bread vs weight of BRF (without vermiculite) there tends to be ~5-6 grams more mushrooms per half pound of substrate. Not significant, but I only did the BRF method twice. Oh, and sorry, I meant to say environmental factors...
As for the pictures, I dont care if someone on the internet believes me. If you feel like sending me a digital camera, id be more than happy to show you some pictures of moldy bread.
Back on topic: Since Ive never used mycobags, I dont have personal experience, but I would definately heed what spencetron said.

Re: Mycobags, i think you've failed me. sterilized jars?
Takes about a week give or take a few days. My first order of spawnbags and hpoo was damaged en route because it was -10 degrees here and the bags got brittle and shattered. Grahm reshipped everything for me and it arrived just a few days later, great guy.

Shroomery's vendors page has a lot of good stuff all on one page if bags are what you're looking for.

Yes, but that doesnt mean that you cant contaminate them. If you manage to pull that off though, you arent going to be able to grow shrooms, no matter how hard you try.

Re: Mycobags, i think you've failed me. sterilized jars?
When you try to culture fungus, sterilization is srs business.
I just boiled the jars for an hour and a half. Look up the PF Tek to get an idea of wtf you're doing, and BE STERILE.
It's really not hard. I can do it.
