Question Stopping dogs from peeing?

Our asshole neighbors from one street over walk their dogs close to our property where we planted a few pine trees that she brings her fucking dog around to water. As you can imagine this kills the trees. This is a regular stop for these fucks who can't appreciate landscaping and hard work. What can we do besides spray that dog and cat repellant stuff? We tried that, but the spray is expensive and stopped working. When we did begin spraying they had the gall to say "Someone sprayed the bushes!!" when their mutt wouldn't piss there. We told them not to walk their dog there every time we see them come by, and even put up signs along our fence.

I don't want to hurt the dog, but we need something powerful to make that dog not want to come by anymore. I'm sick of their shit so every friday/saturday midnight to 1 am I drunkenly airsoft their windows from a discreet location until they get up and turn their lights on to investigate the noise. We've tried reasoning with these people before, but they hate us because they mistakenly think our street lowered THEIR property value.

Are there any cheap ways to keep dogs away without killing the trees?

for some reason cougar piss comes to mind but i think that's to scare away other wild animals.. :/

yell at those fucking people. i hate them just from reading this post. so disrespectful. you could get some sort of revenge on THEIR yard, but i really think if a dog's gotta piss, he's gonna.

Thumbs up Re: Stopping dogs from peeing?

Well, we have some bear mace? I'd be down with the cougar piss, but I'm willing to bet it doesn't come cheap. Can I even file a complaint about this to the 5-0, since it isn't our property? If nothing changes then I guess my only hope is increasing petty offense. Come to think of it mischief night is coming up in a month or so, but that's another thread in another forum.

who's property is it? I'm sure whosevers it is wouldn't appreciate what these fuckers are doing to it. Dog piss fucks everything up! Especially grass.

I just asked my mom and she said there's "spray stuff that they hate" that you would spray on there but you have to do it like everyday. but it looks like you already tried that, hmm..

Be very blunt and assertive with them. Then tell them next time the police are going to get involved.

Hell No! its not the dogs fault.
Hurt the neighbors. Air gun works well. Not a high powered one though use a 177 so you don't kill em. (the dogs owners)

Tell them if it doesn't stop, you'll get the police involved as well as take them to court for the cost of the trees they're killing. If they don't stop, follow through.

lye powder... seriously though, plant some pesky weeds are bushes with lots of thorns. Or crab grass, the little burs on it would coat the dog and the owners wouldnt want to walk them there anymore

Hmmm... Do they have security lights? If they don't, save your piss. Let it sit warm for a few days. Throw it on their steps/door.

Otherwise: you have a fence. Can you put extra fencing around your trees?
