Personally, I've never smoked weed from Cali (I don't think), but I do know that BC bud knocks me on my face.

Anyone have an opinion?

and ive smoked many types of herb from both areas. humboldt takes it. while ive only smoked around 3-4 different buds in CAnada, they were comparable to Calis mids. i constantly smoked herb from HC (born and raised about 30 mins from) and definitely prefer the rich greenery of mid/southern cali.

I've never tried BC, and only tried shit from California once, but it was def. the best stuff I've ever smoked to this day.

This is pretty much the only advantage california and colorado have over canada. The level of UVB is going to be higher in much of colorado and california. This is why the outdoor bud is likely to be more potent. You can breed in a lot of potency but that breed will never reach its full potential without the right environmental conditions, which are hard to replicate indoors.

So I'd have to say california weed and colorado weed would be better. But not because of the breeders. I think the breeders skill levels is probably equal in canada and in the US. You can get a sun burn in parts of colorado during the winter, easily.

That's about twice the standard price here, in California, for great buds.

to buy BC in Ontario you'll most likely be paying bean-for-bean. g for 10 bucks, eighth for 35, oz for >280

From what I've sampled, it's all on the skill of the grower, not where he lives.

It's not really who has the best, but who has the most of that level of quality. I've smoked bud in places like St. Paul and Houston that was as good as any I've found in California or on my (far too few) trips to Canada.

We get both of your BC bud and your Cali bud and our own super dank grown up here. The only thing is people will try and say they got cali bud when really its some shwag they are trying to move fast.

Nobody really says they have BC bud unless they really have it and I can't remember all the different bud I've smoked to really tell you weather or not I've gotten it. All I know is it's around mixed in with the rest of the dank and medical.

Really it doesn't matter though. If someone is selling dank then that's all that has to be said, I can judge for myself how good the bud is weather or not where the place it was grown is at.

Unlike most posters in this thread, I had a chance to try variety of strains in cuver as well as cali, not to mention few visits to 'dam. It seems to me that most of the people in this thread base their opinion on what they had sold to them as "cali" bud.

BC bud is decent, which can not be said about BC hash which was rather shitty. Weed was good, but too few of a variety in strainage to pick from. Even though pot in BC was decent and inexpensive, it was apparent that most of it was grown commercialy putting priority in quantity over quality. Rarely flushed well enough.

Amsterdam weed was just as expected, fire beyond belief, but other thc products were not up to expectations. The weed was grown very well, almost always in soil with organic nutes. Best tasting and smelling weed was found here.

Cali blew my mind, Hash, kief, oil and eatibles... so much to pick from so little time... even street weed dealers had few things on the menu. Strain wise there were usually 4-7 strains to pick from, and it was rather expensive, but for same quality as BC weed, cost was ~45$ per 3.5g not too bad.
I have smoked weed that was more potent than any dam/bc weed here. Delicious outdoor grown purple-family strains blew most of strains that I've tried in BC out of the water, taste and potency-wise.

So like I said, growers in BC dont pay attention to quality as much as yield, which makes the unique strains avaliable only in BC underrated. It could be on par with Cali/Dam if they grew and prepared it better.

My experience is from last 4 years so things might have changed but imo cali club weed and especially hash is as good as amsterdam, and better than in BC. Too bad its that expensive in retail. Lbs of fire in cali were sold for 2600-3700 to the clubs.
