Has anyone successfully smoked in a public washroom? How much smoke does it take to set one of those smoke detector spriklers off? I'm not talking about a huge session, just taking little hits with no cherry and holding it in. Will faint exhaling smoke from a small hit be detected?

These seem like an excellent places to smoke because they are everywhere and you don't have to be wasteful and smoke a joint.

I've done it before with no problems. If you have those robotic/automated toilets, they're usually bomb to smoke in. Usually no detectors (none that I've seen anyways), and you get 30 minutes before the door automatically opens. I can't find any good pics on Google, so hopefully you know what I mean.

Most of the public toilets around where I am don't have any detectors, or the ones that have had them have never gone off on me..

Ive done it several times no problem. Ive never seen smoke detectors in public restrooms. Its best to find personal bathrooms (i.e. ones with only one toilet) that have locks on the doors.

I got busted smoking heroin in a public restroom. I used to do it all the time before that.

I used to work construction and I would always light up a bowl in one of the many outhouses...if someone was waiting outside (never happened actually) I woulda told em, man, you can use this if you want after I'm done, but let me tell you that it is gonna stink!

If there's a switch to turn on the vent that sucks the turd stank out I'd recommend blowing the smoke into that. Some have it come on automatically with the light switch.

I'm not totally sure but I think it would take quite a bit of smoke to set off the smoke alarm. If you're worried about it just take the batteries out of it :)

I've used a one hitter at various rest stops across the country. Only once was I noticed by some like 12 year old kid. The stalls were really short so if someone walked over they could see you pretty much taking a shit, or have a convo with the person shitting next to you. Took two or three ghosted hits and this kid walked in like 30 seconds after I smoke. He was giving me this wide-eyed scared look so I washed my hands and made my escape right when his dad walked in.

I did in a movie theater bathroom once before the movie started. Needless to say, it was a dumb move and I was lucky to not get caught. It was with a one-hitter by the way.

I'm sure everyone has smoked in a public toilet at some point but why the hell cant you just go outside and reduce the chances you will get caught?! Is it really worth it for teh weed fix?

I've never smoked weed in a public bathroom but I've smoked cigs in them before. I always blow the smoke down into the toilet; if you're smoking weed I guess I'd recommend ghosting your hits and lighting your lighter only if there's no one else in there or when someone flushes a toilet/turns on the water.

Yeh. Hopefully he doesn't do it because of the smell..... I used to do that when I smoked cigarettes in the bathrooms in high school, but it was just because the smoke would be mostly dispersed by the time it gets high enough to be seen over the stall. Everyone could still smell it, though.

I don't know some of you think blowing smoke into the toilet gets rid of smell. The toilet actually has an aerosolizing effect.

The human lungs have an average volume of 6 liters. If you think a toilet bowl will contain all that smoke without overflowing you're sadly mistaken. Best option is bringing a toilet paper roll size doob tube and trying to maximize airflow and decrease the concentration of smoke particles by waving around a magazine or something.

That or just like up a cig at the same time. Sounds like it'd be more smoke..but which would you rather be caught with a cig or a joint? Ok then.

Also, all that shoving your face into a toilet bowl to blow smoke is going to get you is being dangerously close to where someone took a dump.

Dispatch sends a message out to patrol cars which depending on location/direction could get to you in 30 seconds to 15 mins. Honestly it's best to not risk it whenever possible and not leave stupid shit like this to chance.

V--True, but in the same vein the person could lie and say you're selling to get you busted. Some cops honestly have nothing better to do than bust potheads.

90% of cops are not going to swing by a public restroom to check out a report of some fuckhead smoking a joint and 90% of dispatchers are not going to waste their manpower investigating such a report. The caller will probably get a "I'll send an officer over right away" and that's about it, and if that person actually sits around waiting for the cop to come, well, they've got bigger issues in their lives than some kid smoking weed in the toilet stall.
