man, it sucks.. unlike on benzos where everything tastes great, on ambien whatever food ur eating looks like it came straight from another planet, the texture is all different, and it just becomes disgusting trying to eat your usual favorite foods, at least for me. anyone else notice this?

This did remind me of eating after taking a few lunesta though. It leaves a weird metallic taste in your mouth that basically ruins the taste of anything you eat for the next 12-24 hours.

Lunesta sucks donkey dick for nickels. The one time I took it (prescription) I couldn't sleep because I felt like I just brushed with Isopropyl, and the taste comes from your stomach so you can't just rinse it out. Anyways...

I've never noticed anything strange on ambien in regards to eating, other than the usual strangeness that comes with the drug. Smoking, however, I just can't help. I chain-smoke on Ambien. Even at a therapeutic dose, I wind up smoking at least 5-6 cigarettes from dose to doze.

You would understand if you took lunesta :). The taste remains in my mouth for at least 12 hours of the next day. It's at its worst right after you wake up.

Good for you princess, I wasn't making a retort to your post. :o Merely stating what my modus operandi is on ambien trips. And the reason I like to smoke on ambies is it feels weird to inhale and exhale, and I like to steam the cigarette so I can watch the cherry get bigger and bigger and glow bright while I move it back and forth, creating trails, so...yea. To each his own. :D

Ambien gives me worse munchies than marijuana.
