It all depends on my mood. I can be really social while sober, but only if I happen to be feeling good. Unfortunately, I'm usually not in a good mood, so I often have to drink to get there.

In general though, I'd say my "zone" is when I'm in a good mood and have a mild buzz. I remember one night I was talking to half the people in the bar, flirting with all these girls, etc. A while later a friend of mine was telling me "Man, you must have been wasted, you were so fucking social..." I told him that I only had a couple of beers and that it was probably one of the most lucid nights I've had.

I'm very good at getting in the zone when sober, if I haven't blazed that day. Of course, I blaze every day so there we go.

Oh shit, man. I got high at a party last night...bad idea. I had handled my liquor just fine and was pretty composed and relaxed. Took two hits and suddenly I was a fucking retard.

If I'm in a good mood then I can be pretty social when sober but emotions are temporary so that's where alcohol comes in.

I'm drunk and high as shit at most if not all the parties I go to, I can manage well enough. Well, for the most part, I'm pretty weird on hallucinogens when in social situations though, excluding marijuana. Mary Jane is great social crutch.

I would usually say I'm socially in the zone, when I'm just buzzing. Before I completely drink my wit away.

I never, ever get stupid drunk in social situations; it's dangerous and unattractive for girl to be stumbling around only half aware of what's going on when surrounded by people you barely know. I only get really trashed if it's just me and a few girlfriends. I'm more of a 'I'll do a few jagerbombs and nurse a beer all night' kind of gal.

However when I've been drinking to the point of being drunk but not dangerously so, and I'm at a party or whatever, I find that my personality doesn't change at all, I'm just more likely to add to a conversation rather than just listen like I usually do. I also find myself treating everyone I have a conversation with as though they've been my bestest buddy for years. I don't think I really change social I act, but I feel less nervousness around people when I've had a few drinks.

This is why I love being a guy. I can get irresponsibly fucked up with complete strangers and still not have to worry about getting raped or something. Well aside from a few key environments that is, I.E. Prison, The Castro.


Plus we can pee standing up. It's truly awesome.

When I'm sober I'm reasonably social. I mean, I know I am in control, and if I want to be social, I can be.

Alcohol just acts as what it is to me - a depressant. I become tired, passive, and start thinking about what the fuck I am even doing there and wondering how I can get out of there to get back home to listen to some music, chill, post on totse and do something I actually enjoy as opposed to hanging out with some niggers talking about some bullshit I couldn't care less about.

Which is sweet.

I find that if Im intoxicated (be it the ganja or booze or even a psychadelic) around good friends (like, REALLY good friends, I got 2, maybe 3 I fit in this category) I become a fucking social machine. Taking charge of everything and like feeling the sexual energy between me and women.

Otherwise booze just loosens me up a bit, but tends to dumb me down as well, leading to social faux pars.
And the ganja just fucks me up, I feel to unconnected with the world
