Quick question, if you don't mind.

Last week, a friend and I each dropped 2 pills and went to a club. The pills we had have a very good reputation amongst my circle of friends, and I haven't had problems with them before. Anyway, for the first hour or so they were great--I was really buzzy, feeling really good.

Shortly after, during the climax, I started to get a bad reaction to them. I was sweating uncontrollably, but I was freezing cold, even though the club was rather warm, I couldn't stop crying, and I was shaking and couldn't see straight. To cut a long-story short, I had a bad trip. Now, that isn't the part I'm (that) concerned about. The day after the E, I couldn't eat or drink anything (even water) without throwing it back up. I had difficulty urinating, and I got frequent headaches and my head was still spinning.

This is still happening, albeit on a smaller scale even now (a week later), and I'm wondering--could this be a sign of permanent/significant harm to my body? I'm having great difficulty eating and drinking, and I'm basically forcing food down. I haven't been getting hungry at all, and my heart has been beating irregularly (i.e will be beating fast one minute, but not the next). I haven't sought medical attention yet, as I'm seeing whether these symptoms will subside, but as they haven't yet, should I be worried? Has anyone else experienced this before? And what's the likely cause of this--i.e a particular adulterant in the pill perhaps, or is this sort of shit just a common side-affect?

Any help/advice you can give me is most appreciated.

Lol, your pills weren't MDMA.

That sounds a lot like PMA with the hot/cold thing. There's always the possibility that you'd got a knock off pill, ie. one that has the same brand/colour, but not the same constituants. Were the pills you took from the same batch as the others that your mates had reported as being good?

If the symptoms keep up, it's probably a good idea to see a doctor. I would have already seen one, if I was in your position. In my own experience however, I've always noticed a very reduced appeteit for 3-4 days after rolling. Oh, did your friend who took the same pills have any adverse reaction?

On the subject of mdma, I had a wonderful weekend full of love, joy, and loud music. Yay.

Pills weren't mdma for sure. It is possible some of your after effects are all in your head too, if you believe there has been some damage done you might be forcing yourself to have symptoms. I have heard of people even being worried after pure MDMA, and it was just a week long after glow that was interpreted as some serious damage done by the mdma.

If you are really concerned i'd see a doctor, it isn't worth risking your health over.

I wouldn't expect a comedown like that after two pills. Did these ones come from the same batch you and your friends have taken before? Even if you recognise the stamp it doesn't necessarily mean they're the same pill, there's nothing to stop people pressing fake pills or just cutting down the quality of popular ones, it happens from time to time and it's a bitch. How did your friend react to the pills?

I doubt there'd be enough of anything to cause lasting damage in 2 pills, dealers might be money-grabbing dicks who'll sell shitty rolls but they won't usually sell anything that'll really fuck people up. You could've just got severely dehydrated (or overhydrated), happens all the time, but I don't know if the after-effects would last that long.

If it keeps up I would see a doctor, but since you sound like you're recovering I'd wait a while.

Not sure whether they're the same batch or not, but I'm close friends with the person who makes and sells the pills; and I've never had problems in the past. I'm not naive enough to believe that he's completely honest, or that there's no shit in the pills, but I've never had any adverse negative reactions in the past (I occasionally get lockjaw with these pills, but haven't before on other pills).

My friend thoroughly enjoyed his pills, and said that they were the best ones he's had so far.

I'm not sure whether it could be a case of under/over hydration; I had about the same amount of water as I usually do (which is 1-2 glasses per hour, which is normally ample for me). But it's something to consider I guess.

I hadn't thought of that, it's a possibility. I'm normally fairly careful when it comes to keeping watch on my drinks, but it could have happened. Hmm...

I reckon I'll give it another day or so, see how it all goes. I'm managing to keep soft foods and some water down at the moment, but I'm still fairly nauseous and a bit giddy, etc. I'm not worried about going to the doctor or anything, since he can't say shit anyway, but if I don't have to go then I won't. Meh, I'll wait it out.

That'll definitely have something to do with it. I always need time to recover from mandy or pills, pretty much everyone I know does. The harder you push your body, the longer the comedown's gonna be.

And was there anything on your mind? MDMA's never great for me when I'm not in a naturally good mood, I try and avoid it if I'm a bit depleted. Wouldn't really do much to explain the week-long comedown but it might help explain the bad experience.

Nothing really on my mind at all, I was a bit tired from the night before, and had a few aches and pains; but nothing psychological that could have contributed to it that I can think of. This has been my second bad trip on an E (well, the first time was actually a PMA pill, so E is really more of a generic term).

That's stupid, man. I'd wait at least 2 weeks before rolling again, a month at best. Not sure if that's your problem but it's probably adding to your symptoms. I've been with a friend that dropped 2 nights in a row and he was fine so I don't know. It's just harder on your body and mind to drop frequently.

and btw, you really don't "trip" on E. Sounds, colors and senses in general can be more vibrant but in no way would I call blowing up a 'trip'.

aside from the rolling two nights in a row and what not, in some people e can fuck up their liver pretty bad even in moderate doses. idk if your symptoms indicate that, but just a thought.
