| Better Living Through Chemistry Discussions of any and all sorts of mind-warping chemicals, pills, booze, mind machines, trippy stuff, current street prices, importing pharmaceuticals, smart drugs, nutrients, herbs, and altered states. Please try to keep your conversations "theoretical" in nature, since this is an open conference. |

Have any of you ever been so out of your minds that you feel a dawning understanding?
Right now, all of the elements of society that taught me to fear or hate my fellow man have dissolved. all that Institutions have sought to instill im me and my peers has broken away to a vast field of oneness. that absolutely exaltant feeling of one ness where the identity vanishes and one or two or three or an infinite number of souls can collide and share feeling and emotion and love across time and space, across life and death....

Sounds like you've had your first drug fueled epiphany.
They're nice aren't they?

Welcome to the understanding of what psychedelics are truly for. Running around acting like an idiot watching the pretty colors is a fool's way of tripping. Use this discovery to better yourself in a profound and spiritual way.
It will improve your outlook on life.
It will improve your outlook on death.
It will lead to you being more confused than you've ever been.
Happy Tripping

Welcome to the club. Now, improve the lives of everyone you can find, and build a better world which allows for a broader plurality of options, so that everyone can find happiness and a place that works for them.
We are few, but our humble workers in this vision are everywhere.

Re: Have any of you ever been so out of your minds that you feel a dawning understand
Just last night. I realized everything would be ok, whether I grow up to be successful or just scraping by, I'll live life like everyone else.
I think shrooms helped me become normal, lets see if this lasts.

Tripping LSD I realized We are trapped in the vertex of a set time and predetermined path (from my epiphany, yours may vary ) as well as humans are a grain of sand in the greater theme of things, no matter how hard we try to control our existence.
MDMA is the ultimate drug for empathy.

Re: Have any of you ever been so out of your minds that you feel a dawning understand
It's great til you wake up the next morning and go, "What?????"
I never manage to carry anything through to life. My insights while tripping make no sense with a sober mind. Drugs teach you nothing, there is nothing to be taught. You just spiral further down the rabbit hole, and each time you must [attempt to] climb your way back out to reality.
The only real use for psychedelic drugs is to aid understanding consciousness, but meditation can give you that as well. Bottom line is changing your brain's chemistry without a doubt screws it up, it's just unknown if it's permanent or indefinite. If you choose to use psychedelics, eat right, exercise and remain physically and mentally strong.

Well shit, I guess I had it backwards. I thought confusing yourself was enlightening.
Oh wait... parallels.
Oh wait... irony.

Re: Have any of you ever been so out of your minds that you feel a dawning understand
Psychs and weed have made me a happier person.
my first acid trip was the most powerful and happy experience of my life. nothing else comes close, ive had a couple of near death experiences and i cant really say they made me see the world any differently. LSD made me see everything differently, i realized that i shouldnt be depressed, i have everything i need in life. it made me be thankful to be alive instead of just hating life.

I'll never forget my first 'real' acid trip. The first one, more than any others, is whats going to change you the most because it's the trip that initially brings you into a whole other world of conscious thinking/living.
It drastically changed me as a person, and for the better in all aspects. I was depressed about a lot of things, didn't appreciate life nearly as much as I do now, and I was even a bit of an asshole at times. As any of my friends will tell you, I exhibit none of those qualities now.
As many of you know, psyches teach you so much about yourself, as a person and as a spiritual entity, and a lot about the world/society we live in. That's why some people aren't able to handle strong psychedelic trips. A lot of people get shown things they weren't ready to see,
I could write a short book on how psychedelics have contributed to my being, and who knows, maybe I will some day.

Great, that is terrific. Now, realize that we did not experience this specific state that you describe and I hate to bring you down but most of these revelations that you have are fleeting and are probably not relevant to real life other then making you temporarily happy. If you are lucky and actualy get something out of this than props.

Re: Have any of you ever been so out of your minds that you feel a dawning understanding?
One time when I took copious amounts of DXM and my mind kept wandering in and out of my body I vaguely remember having a powerful realization that I create my own world and that everything I see is only what I choose to see it as... I can't really describe it exactly anymore due to memory loss induced by the experience and also because it was a while ago.
I guess that in a way, it is true. An insane person's delusions are as good as reality to them, are they not? Our world is as we make it.

whether you believe you have a soul or not, LSD reveals unfathomable depths of perception.
