Re: Suppressed Luger P08
Nice man nice. Massive can there :P
I just went to the engineering supplies and dropped $360AU on a nice tap and die set, a 29 piece metal drill set and various other shit such as cutting grease and set-squares. Also put a deposit down on a $4200 lathe, which is big enough to make my own barrels (I'm talking rifles not pistols) and I'm investing in a set of chamber reamers for .22, .17, .223 and.308 as well as rifling tools to match. Should be a sweet set up. Pity I can't get working with it till April next year but when i do im gonna turn out some nice gear (better when I get a CNC milling machine though

Re: Suppressed Luger P08
If my can designs work maybe you can produce some of them.
Same goes for some of the pistol and rifle designs I have come up with, once I move them from paper to AutoCAD or Google SketchUp.

Re: Suppressed Luger P08
Sounds fine to me, so far i've just been planning very basic .22 cane guns (I say guns as I dont have the rifling tools yet) and such. When the lathe and milling machines are here in april (when I get back form military deployment with $$$) I just have to find somewhere to set them up (current workshop doubles as realoading room for my rifles so i dont think a lathe spitting hot metal turnings will mix well >.<)
I'd love to see what you have on paper so far, I've got you on MSN, save posting them here as they may be used by the il-infomed with bad results.

Haha.
Pink shirt and aviators = win.
Also, is your SMG can or a clone of it?
And.
How did you make the threaded coupling?
That gun is pretty damn awesome.

Re: Suppressed Luger P08
Its the very same SMG can. This time I simply used scotch brite pads in the last two chambers, with a perforated PVC jacket surrounded by pads in the blast chamber. I removed all the mesh, which apparetnly turned out the most durable and effective design.
The muzzle adaptor coupling is my own design, with improvements over the traditional units for the Ruger pistols, mainly because it was made to be adaptable to the Luger, my Winchester 52D, and my Remington 742.

The ammunition is surplus Russian stuff from the year 1949, with a 124 gr FMJ bullet. You can hear the supersonic crack clearly.

Oh, and also, with the weight of the can, the gun does not self-load, which means it is extra silent, and no unnecessary shell casing littering of my beautiful garden.
