Allow me to preface by saying that I know very little about benzos. I had a script for clonazepam in my early teens, long before I realized that drugs are swell.

About a week ago a friend traded me some diazepam for pot and I enjoyed them immensely. Haven't taken any benzos of any sort since then, and today I acquired a script of 6mg bromazepam prescribed for a genuine sleep disorder.

Does anybody have experience with Bromazepam? The erowid vault is void of any information beyond the usual pictures and such. Is it similar to diazepam? I'll be taking at least 24mg tonight with copious weed smoking.

Acually just popped 12mg under my tongue to be absorbed sublingualy.

I understand that it's probably not the greatest benzo available, but it's got to have some recreational use.

Coincidentally, and perhaps fortunately, I'm all out of bromazepam. Going to get a refill in a couple of weeks probably, and use them more sparingly. They are amazingly effective for genuine anxiety.

I've tried it and it's alright, in relation to other benzos. It's a little bit weird though; in several ways.

One, it makes you trip in a way at large enough doses. It'll really change your perception on certain things, such as lights, and make water/waves look really cool.

Two, it doesn't really help with sleep whatsoever in my experiences. I've been on way past therapeutic doses and drank a good amount of beer and still had trouble falling asleep, whereas a little bit of valium and that same amount of beer would have had me knocked out.

Three, I've been told that at high doses, this crap will literally make you unable to move. You'll be sitting there benzoed out as hell, but literally cannot move your limbs. Almost like GHB or something, but I've never tried that.

Overall, I'd take it if I had to come down off of something like adderall/ dextroamp, or if I had some anxiety problems (which I don't), but I wouldn't really ever choose it as my recreational benzo. I think k-pins and xanax still whoop bromazepam's ass when it comes to recreational use. Especially for mixing with alcohol, because it's so much more predictable when you stick with alprazolam and clonazepam. I'd probably even take valium over bromaz when it comes to needing a come-down drug too.

Bromaz is fun to try at least a couple of times if you like benzos, but even my most benzo-loving friends and I don't like it very much at all and certainly don't prefer it over the other options in the benzo world. Although some people for some reason LOVE this shit. I guess to each his own.

I love the stuff; it's one of my favourite benzos. Although I couldn't imagine it being prescribed for sleep disorders - I was regularly taking around 18-24 mgs a day without passing out. It's a great benzo for anxiety - stronger than valium (and doesn't last so damn long), but not as strong as xanax, so you can drink a decent amount of booze with it.

I'd recommend you take 18mgs to start with, smoke some weed and see if you want to take any more. It's almost twice the potency of valium (5mgs valium ~ 3mgs lexotanil) so factor your benzo tolerance into how much you take.
